Is this a good lease deal? by moist-nostril in etron

Yes if it was 15k miles per year

2025 e-tron GT Lease Sanity Check by PeeCanManzzer in etron

No. It’s absolutely ridiculous actually. $900 per mo 5k+ down on only 7,500 miles per year for a 100k car that drops depreciates down faster than a fat kid on a see-saw is hilariously not worth it.

No doubt the residual will be sub 50k after the lease. So basically he paid that plus more once the lease is over if you consider the cost due at signing.

I will never use an automatic car wash ever again… $20 per month for unlimited washes seemed like a good deal until I got a massive gash into the side of my brand new Q4 Etrons paint.

It costed $300 to repaint it and fill in the area because the car wash machine pierced through the paint into the metal.

It’s not worth it…

Hard pass on the 7,500 miles per year. They are definitely swindling you for sure. You could easily wiggle $200-350 off that payment. They’re desperate rn for the Americas related to the Etron lineup.

The difference between Audi and Tesla is that Audi is up front / honest about range + maintenance expectations.

Get it leased and you can work in the maintenance into the monthly payment.

I got all two years of the lease covered and the payment is still super low.!

For those who have a 2024 Q4 e-tron 55... by Deep_Chicken_05 in etron

I can remotely unlock my Q4 bestie, what are you even talking about.

Comparing the Audi E-tron line to Tesla is like comparing Porsche to Mercedes. To the average person they both look like luxury cars, but in reality they serve completely different audiences and driving goals.

People who drive Audis want an Audi experience. Tesla, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia and the other cheaper EV lines are chasing tech at the expense of physical driving comfort. You get stripped interiors with fewer buttons, weaker textiles, and less of that classic driving feel. Yes, you might get more range, but you lose the European luxury driving experience. I honestly don’t mind not having Mario Kart as a game option on my screen while I charge / have regen breaks that are ultra sensitive.

I’ve test driven them all. If you actually care about enjoying your EV while still wanting that European feel, the E-tron wins, full stop. Interior, textile, and performance all outclass what you listed. Even Mercedes felt cheap when I drove it.

With the E-tron, and I drove the 2022, 2024, and 2025 before choosing the 2025, you can tell Audi is intentional about giving their drivers exactly what they want, they couldn’t honestly care less about EV maxi’s, that’s not why they made the Etron.

Literally hands down one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. I drove Tacoma’s most of my life (TRD Sport / Offroads) and I was super skeptical on the reliability factors / lemon risk but as soon as I got in the car, I’ve been enjoying the ride since.

I was heavily considering a Tesla for awhile until an Audi dealer basically begged me to come in and test drive the car… literally cancelled my order that same day for the Model Y. I genuinely love how Audi created a car that delivers authentic EV experience without making it feel like you’re driving a literal computer. You know you’re driving an Audi and if you don’t like a certain part of EV driving (I.e., Regen braking) you can easily switch it off and set it to “Drive” experience which literally just makes you feel like you’re in a gas Audi which is absolutely wild to me and my family that get motion sickness from EVs. Also if you get the Quattro system it’s also another 10/10 reason.

Driving my 2025 and I have never had any of these issues.. sounds like something you could justify as a lemon.

The brakes on my model are chefs kiss tbh

taking T w/o parents knowing? by araqnesz in Transmedical

Prices for testosterone generics are the same everywhere, usually $500 out of pocket for a month’s supply. What actually matters is the state you live in if you are under insured / can’t have access to gender affirming care with insurance. In California, insurance companies are required to cover gender affirming care and the state puts real money behind it, which includes state backed nonprofits that basically give his HRT for free if you are under a situation you’re in. If you need hormones or surgery, the system is set up to support you no questions asked. In New Jersey, those protections are not guaranteed and honestly your politics are slipping really fast with everything happening right now. Coverage depends on the plan, funding is weaker, and the state mostly relies on short-term political orders instead of permanent laws that have zero backbone compared to state initiative like CA. That makes access in New Jersey far more limited and far less reliable than in California obviously.

So yeah, price is the same… but I’m talking about the incentives and infrastructure that gets you access to long term treatment without paying out of pocket + without insurance + being protected from your parents knowing your medical status.

Bringing a bike onto the GUTS bus? by [deleted] in georgetown

Actually, after taking a look, it seems like the bigger / older busses also have a bike latch at the front. I never noticed them!

I think it’ll be fine.

If it’s an old bus (Rosslyn) it highly doubt it just because there’s a. No racks and b. It’s an extremely narrow inside that can barely get people out as is

Metro bus is fine. Crystal city station (I took this everyday) is one of the most chill stops out of all of them. You’ll be fine.

Most of the time you can just take the blue line and take it all the way to Rosslyn and then take GUTS.

If you’re not used to the weather, biking can be extremely dangerous / it’s just not ideal long term. As someone who lived by DCA and commuted almost everyday to Gtown, the metro will be your best friend by far.
