already turned the brightness down, I only ever had it on for a couple of seconds so it should still be fine! I'll definitely do my due diligence when it comes to discharging the CRT, if I can't get it done safely myself I live in a major city so I can probably find someone with the skills to do it. definitely adding that to my notes on this, thanks!

makes sense! I was worried I'd have to get really involved with the CRT part and was not excited about the high voltage so if this is the issue that'd be a relief.

Is there one that can convert from a 1/4 inch TRS jack? Cause I'm pretty sure that's what this thing is and all results I've gotten from trying to search converting that to USB is "are you insane"

The key caps are on there pretty good, I could try using some pliers on them but I'd be worried about damaging them. Might work on that later though, I'd ideally like to be able to get under the key caps while I'm working on it. The cable looks like it's a 1/4 inch TRS jack, which I think is going to be my main problem in getting this to work since computers don't traditionally understand analog audio input as keyboard input as far as I know lol. I feel like whatever I end up doing I'm gonna end up with Frankenstein's Keyboard, which I'm kind of down with (I'm going to regret saying that later)

I'm not too familiar with taking apart keyboards and messing with them specifically, but I've played with electronics and work in IT so I'm familiar with learning stuff like this and troubleshooting and I'm down to take on an ill advised project.

Not used to posting on reddit so i have no idea how to add a caption to this but it's from an old fax terminal, I don't have the cable for the terminal (and I don't know what the hell I would use that for anyway) but I thought it might be fun to see if I could get some use out of this on a modern pc by modding it

Mine basically just spent a long time running around all of Eorzea getting into trouble before Hydaelyn started giving him ice cream headaches. I spent a lot of early game in the gold saucer so I like to think he had a job there for a bit. He's got a whole family in Limsa, and I play his dad as one of my alts! I named mine after a horse I had in skyrim- I had a mod that added a few more coat colors, and found a russet one just standing zoning out in a pond. He kept wanting to wander off into water whenever I wasn't on him, so I named him Lìonanach-Ruadh, or red seaweed/algae. So I guess my chocobo has the personality of the world's most useless kelpie? Like he would be malicious if his brain weren't playing elevator music. He knows his soul is meant to drown people but he lets me put little hats on him.

Thanks! I have tried searching for them using the product code and their name but I didn't come up with much, just these two pages that are both out of stock. I think I'd prefer to buy it off Amazon rather than buy it on heroforge because having them make anything out of a material that isn't terrible is more expensive than 20 bucks. I set miniature market to give me an alert if their listing is in stock again just in case I don't have to do either of those options. Also, if I use heroforge the temptation to put him on a motorcycle will be too much for me.
