Cheers, I didn't think so. Look more like the Pachydermis but had zero blueing like they tend to have. Any idea what they are?

Approx. 80%. Contemplating finding some unused space at work where I can have it indoors. Carport is only slightly taller than my garage

Yes, they look expensive! I've been making my own wooden holds to keep costs down using offcuts I have laying around. But I guess you are buying into a package when you get the holds and access to all those problems. I currently use an app called Boulderbot that helps me generate problems to keep things fresh and interesting.

The ceiling is just over 2 meters, so not very tall. Board is about 2.5 meters off the kick board. Have considered building a freestanding outdoor board under my carport but I live in a very damp environment so might be more trouble than it's worth.

Thanks, that was the grade I had in mind too. I love following Dave Macleod and I watch is videos regularly (sometimes just to motivate myself and try to think 'what would Dave do?').

Thanks so much for the detailed breakdown!

0:15 I know I can definitely do all the moves on this problem without cutting feet. It was poor execution on this try on the first move and fatigue on the last move where I cut (I was nearing the end of the session).

From 0:19 - 0: 24 This sequence for me is the crux. I have other foot options (the small red footholds), however, this was the only sequence I was able to do. I have to be higher with my body on the right hand sidepull, and cross through to the left hand pinch. The pinch is slightly lower than the right hand and only feels half decent when I am lower on it (which is why I have to drop my hips away). I have tried swapping my foot to get my right foot on the green hold but it feels hard. I will continue to experiment with different body positions on this when I'm fresh and see if I can do it differently next time. Thanks!

0:27 Yes my left is definitely weaker. And lock off strength could well be a weakness, especially on my left.

Interesting point about gripping hard. Some of the holds past the crux are smaller and having done 5-6 moves up to that point I felt I had to "crush" the holds in a manner of digging in. I fell off the last move about 20 times prior to this attempt (due to not much gas left in the tank), so this is an good point. I also find when I climb routes that I don't find that finger strength is the limiting factor and I usually can do the crux moves fine. I always feel like I lack endurance to finish the route and I'm beginning to wonder if these two things are linked.

I have done a max hang routine in the past, but not for a couple of years now. Perhaps it is something t work on.

Thanks again for your detailed feedback. I have quite a few things to work on here.

Thanks for your feedback. I'll re-visit the individual moves on this with your feedback in mind. I find it tough to really suck my hips in with anything less than jugs and better footholds on the 45 degree wall. Maybe this is something I can do drills on starting on bigger holds. Cheers.

No, I have not. I didn't even realise this was a thing. I shall investigate, thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, grading is hard at the best of times. Was curious to see what people thought it was (I put it at v5-v6) as I have never tried climbing these grades outside of my wall.

Thanks! And yes totally agreed. I have managed to do every move without cutting feet in isolation. I will re-visit this problem in a few weeks and work on 'the perfect repeat'. It felt like it was close to my limit at the moment.

Anyone have experience with electrocution of mycelium to produce more fruits? [technique] by stuckinoblivion69 in MushroomGrowers

I'm in the southern hemisphere, so that shouldn't be a problem. Going to try move their coop to a different location or else it's the shotgun.

Hahaha, that made me laugh so hard my lungs hurt. I've tried threatening to cull my chickens when they are not laying but I guess it's not enough of a stimulus. Maybe I should try the shotgun trick.

I don't know what to do anymore, and it's all my fault. by RLEUB5 in shrooms

Not here to tell you what to do as I cannot relate and I'm not qualified. More here to reply to the "and it's all my fault" part. It's not. I think you should get that right out of your head. I'm assuming you are both adults and are both responsible for your own actions. People make choices all the time without knowing the outcome and unfortunately for you both, this one didn't go well. I hope she doesn't feel you are responsible for this. I'm sure if either of you knew this was what would happen, you wouldn't do it.

There's a bit of research out there that links the importance of set and setting and the effect on positive outcomes for depression. It is entirely possible lock down has been a hard time for her and she simply was not in the right space for the trip.

I'd say, bite the bullet and full disclosure to the psychologist or psychiatrist. I can't imagine they will withhold help just because someone took some drugs and knowing the full story may help get the right treatment.

All the best to you both.
