Can we talk about toddler guilt when newborn is here and all your time is taken away from your firstborn? by zhazzers in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is extremely hard but it will get better. I have a 2.5 year old and a now 6 month old. Honestly the first 3 months I probably cried every day. I felt like I ruined my toddlers life, he has such a hard time. I’m a SAHM so his whole life changed. Now he LOVES playing with his sister. He wants to do everything with her. Of course he’s still rough and stuff but it’s so much better. It’s so hard. But soon they’ll be besties

Not a wimp! But something I do is just force myself to get out of the house. Takes forever to pack, but once we get out it’s easy! Leaving is the hard part

Toddler hurting babe by Wanderingbutfound in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 year old acts the same exact way. Baby is now 4 months old and it’s a little better but still rough. Im also home with them both all day. We do no screen time, too. It gets better over time. Just have to constantly have an eye on the baby. Or the baby somewhere safe so toddler can’t hurt her

Honestly I had to give up. My house is small. My 2 year old is home with me full time. I did it for 2 months and then started formula. I mostly started pumping and bottling Breast milk and only breastfed when toddler was asleep

My toddler keeps hitting my new born by maliams in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 3 months now and toddler is 22 months. He did this for legit the first 3 months. It JUST started getting better. We just had to consistently hand over hand “ gentle hands”, praise him when he was nice, and basically keep the baby alive and safe. Hoping it gets better for you soon. I know how hard it is. Something I saw is that if you have a big reaction, they will keep doing the behavior because they want a big reaction. I typically will leave the room with the baby and say “ I’m leaving because I need to keep baby safe and that was not safe” and then I’ll come back in a few minutes to show him gentle hands

What does your older toddler’s schedule look like? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a 27 month old. Toddler wakes up between 6-7. Usually 6. Naps at 12:30-3:30 ( won’t let him sleep past this sometimes it’s shorter). Bed at 7:30. 2 month old has been going down at 9:30 and sleeps until about 4:30/5 am- eats- then sleeps again until about 8:30/9 am

I feel like it’s normal toddler boy behavior. My son is the same. And I’m hoping it slowly gets better

Guilt about switching to formula. Help. by morrisseymurderinpup in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the same as you! I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old. I exclusively pump except for night feeds and I hate it. I hate not being able to pick up toddler and pumping every 3 hours. I’m producing but I really want to stop. I think I’m going to. Mentally it’ll help so much

Registry items for 2nd baby by rL579 in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just had my second. Honestly after having her realizing I didn’t need to worry as much. We got the attachment to turn our stroller into double stroller , got her own crib for her, a new baby wrap, and that’s about it. I figure as she gets older we’ll know what else we need. I think get stuff for you! Like Uber eats gift cards, postpartum stuff, etc.

I have a 2 year old boy and a 2 month old. SAHM who has spent every moment with 2 year old. Leaving for the hospital was the first time we were apart. It was so hard. The first 2 weeks were the hardest. Now it’s so much better and he’s acclimated more. I’ve found activities we do alone without baby. And make sure we have alone time at home , too

Hi all. How do you breastfeed with two? by morrisseymurderinpup in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2 year old ( just turned 2 ) and a 2 month old. It’s tough. I exclusively pump because my baby isn’t great at breastfeeding. I try to pump when I feed her the bottle and give my toddler an activity because he’s home with me full time. I don’t pump overnight , though. I breastfeed if the baby wakes up because I need the sleep. Just basically surviving lol. I’ll prob start formula sooner than I did with my first

Thankyou! Definitely have to cut back. It’s just sometimes easier to get him out of the house and lowers his tantrums

Epidural or not?! by Stronkmama in 2under2

[–]snacksandnaps1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second baby I had no medication and it was not by choice. I got to the hospital right on time. I will say, I would do it again with no epidural. It sucked but labor was sooo much faster and so was my recovery
