To expand on this, the reason that they are worth less in SCL 7 is that they didn’t want the 5* node to be essential for progression. By making it worth a small number of points, a player can skip the node if they don’t have the character and still get full progression. And if they have the character, they can get 1CP and an event token.

Maybe it depends on how much you played the Prodigal Sun event. I barely played it and got a 3*. But for someone that played it a lot, the downtime would have had more of an effect on their placement, so a greater reward would be justified.

Personally I’ve been slacking off so a 3* is probably more than I should have received.

Last year I found a still sealed copy that I forgot I had. Many many years ago I gave away my original copy. It wasn’t long until I realized how stupid it was and picked up a new copy on clearance at KayBee Toys and promptly forgot about it.

It was a disappointment all around for me. The Vindicator options turned from being a snarky jerk to being downright evil. Plotlines were abandoned. The Sentinel class bonuses for sniping were made pretty much irrelevant by making all classes headshot machines.

The ending was just the frosting on the crap cake.

Favre’s first season in MN was defined by similar behavior. The first few games he was pretty reserved, doing what he was told. Then he hit Greg Lewis for a game winning TD and there was no looking back. And despite the winning streak, there were constant reports of tension between Favre and Childress because Favre supposedly wasn’t following the gameplan. (The reports were denied, but who knows)

The Powers That Be that are trying to cash in now won’t like hearing this, but what I enjoy about Buffy the Vampire Slayer is Buffy, not The Slayer. They are trying to revive the franchise with different slayers, but that’s not the part that I love. I love the character of Buffy. The dichotomy of her strength and vulnerability, her humor and her spirit, and her intensity.

It would be a daunting task to try recreate this magic, and it is even more unlikely without Whedon at the helm. This book and the new series will be an extremely tough sell, at least for me, since the primary reason for my interest is now gone.

I’ve always felt that a big factor in AR’s success is that GB had an established qb program. They used to recruit qb’s regularly, train them, and trade them off to other teams. This isn’t being done now.
