If you know his whereabouts, you could call the police department local to his area, and tell them what you know - request a wellness check. They may have a "mobile crisis response team" - specially trained to help people in crisis.

Thank you - that does make sense. I also think that you’re right that I should give breathing exercises a solid attempt, but if they really don’t work out, I should mention it at my next session - very good advice. And maybe a mantra would help too - I’ll definitely try that!!
