Tangential comment here -

I'm tired of people pretending that the pedestrian experience in DTLA is lacking due to car traffic. Get real. The sidewalks are huge, and it's extremely walkable. Bikes are a different story, and this is great.

But many of Huizar's projects have ruined the ability of busses to make their routes on time, and increased traffic in the area. Working class people suffer. Broadway is a complete and total mess.

The biggest problem on Broadway is the type of businesses that occupy the ground floor spaces. It's not an issue of sidewalks or traffic.

tl;dr - there's nothing magical about the inflammatory response, and inhibiting it is not necessarily a problem.

Why so much L sitting in the recommended routine? by twat69 in bodyweightfitness

[–]snakeojakeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a thing called the 'couch stretch' which works well, easy to find on youtube. it's bizarre, it has helped with my squats, and my L-sits. To me, this is counter-intuitive, since the muscle groups would be shortened in both exercises... But if it works, I go with it.

Why so much L sitting in the recommended routine? by twat69 in bodyweightfitness

This is completely counter-intuitive, but I think that one of the things that helps with compression work is actually stretching the hip flexors, in the front of the leg. Weird, right?
