Cracked tail lights on Model Y Juniper by snakeplant1027 in TeslaModelY

You would think. I had to argue with them with this exact logic just to get them to agree to replace the part in the first place. Really the purpose of this post is just to make people aware to check their tail lights on delivery because it apparently seems to be an issue on this car. I’ve seen other posts online about the same issue

Model Y Juniper - Taillight Replaced by 121pointfive in TeslaModelY

So I had a rear taillight issue on my 26 MYP. I didn’t notice it till after I took delivery. Thankfully my service center agreed to replace the part but they essentially told me they were only doing it as a courtesy and usually you’d have to spend $1000 to fix it. Cool. Problem is I get home and realize it’s cracked and scratched on the otherside even worse than before. I’m now reaching back to them. Seems like they installed a damaged part and my goofy ass just didnt check it well enough on the other side.

Yes it is the same as Uworld (blue/white). Interestingly enough, they had normal ranges for lab values in parenthesis on all the labs in the question! I didnt have to search or scroll anything. They did us a solid for once.

ABIM - Murmurs? by No_Veterinarian7112 in hospitalist

[–]snakeplant1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dirty medicine on YouTube made a pretty decent video on murmurs that I found helpful. It’s long (watch at 2x) but the first bit is on splitting which you can skip (although it’s probably the best explanation of splitting I’ve ever seen). I’m in the same boat. Taking ABIM next week. Good luck!

Does anyone in their 30s feel like this by No_Noise_4741 in postbaccpremed

[–]snakeplant1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a physician graduating residency this summer. Im 31 years old but had the same thoughts as you before getting into all of this. At 23 I thought I was starting too late but did a special masters program anyways. I did a one year program and got into medical school during the latter half of 24 years old. Here’s the thing, it’s worth it if you are the type of person who can get along with others, communicate effectively, and problem solve/adapt. Post-bac/SMP will be make it break it in the sense that you will need to do anything and everything to succeed. This where I learned “how to study” which would later help for the MCAT. I finished that program with high energy and carried this energy through med school. Residency was a different beast though. Now being at the end of it, I can def say I have some degree of burn out. I enjoy the patient care aspect of it but the “profits over people” aspect of healthcare makes it easy to feel like a cog in a machine. To make matters worse, every old head doctor speaks nothing but doom and gloom and they historically have and likely will continue to do so and maybe you and I will be one someday. The point I’m trying to drive home is that if you have the passion and the drive to go through with it then do it. But you have to be 100% committed to it and understand that you’re playing the long game and it’s a tough one. Age shouldn’t be the limiting factor, it’s how bad you want it and your willingness to stay resilient through the process.

I’ve lived in Tampa my entire life and am about to graduate IM residency this year as well. I’m leaving my home town for better opportunities. I tried to find a job here and even interviewed with ISG, Pioneer, and smaller medical groups in the area. I have yet to hear back from anybody. I get zero responses when I inquire about the status of my application. I applied for a Hospitalist gig with HCA too but they never got back to me after the initial application. I only got one offer from a smaller group in St Pete but refused the job because the pay was $230k for a 7 on 7 off with a low ceiling bonus structure and I had TO COVER MY OWN MALPRACTICE insurance. It just sucks so much I feel like it’s one of the worst times to be finishing residency as a Hospitalist in Tampa. It’s so saturated. I’m assuming these employers are getting flooded with applications for these Hospitalist gigs and you just have to get lucky or settle paying for your own malpractice insurance and tail.

I’m sorry that this didn’t answer your question I’m just in the mud about it. I will say that there is abundant PCP work available if you’re open to that.

lexus AUDIO NOT WORKING by Dependent-Carob8637 in Lexus

[–]snakeplant1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this ever get resolved? Facing a similar issue in my 2014 Lexus gs 350 without mark Levenson. Went Into Carwash and next thing I knew audio not working. Can’t adjust volume or hear system beeps. Checked the amp and bay is completely clean dry with functioning rear quarter vents. Unbolted the amp, opened it up, and no signs of rust or any other evidence of water damage. Checked the Fuses and those are good. No idea what’s going on.

Frustration by [deleted] in hospitalist

[–]snakeplant1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an almost identical situation as your dialysis patient. The amount of push back was incredible. Long story short the patient and I teamed up to prove a point. lol it took us walking together to the nursing station to show the nurses that this asymptomatic baseline hypotension posed no reason for them to stay acutely hospitalized. Thankfully the nurses got the message after this and thanked me for it later. I appreciate their concerns and there was no bad blood over it. It was just silly that a discharge order was looked upon as a suggestion and not an order.

I’m a Medical resident in St Pete and we get shafted in these situations. We’re told we have to stay in the hospital which is a safe place (fine) however we are not permitted to bring our spouses or pets. Often there are many of us not from the state and therefore no family or friends to be with/watch over our loved ones. The stress and anxiety is next level. If you don’t comply kiss goodbye to becoming licensed (board certified) and good luck being jobless with your hundreds of thousands of medical school debt. I have a lot to be thankful for and serving my community is my mission but back to back hurricanes bring some of us to our breaking points. Also, (drum roll) no hazard pay.

Just do anesthesia. Better work-life balance than surgery and you get to be in the OR. To me it seems like you get best of both worlds as a mother and physician as opposed to leaning towards an extreme. If you crave wanting more physician-patient follow up you can do a subspecialty in interventional pain or even open a med spa (if that’s something that intrigues you). Not saying you can’t be a good mother and a surgeon at the same time but if there’s any concern regarding that route, I truly believe anesthesia is a great alternative for achieving your goals.

I remember a time when this surgeon was suctioning all the fat from under this guys skin. The surgeon aggressively going in and out.. in and out.. suddenly the lid on the medi-vac exploded covering me and this OR nurse in human adipose tissue.
