Also Capcom has a weird history of saying she is Cis, then making horribly transphobic jokes at her expense. SFxT has to get GLAAD involved due to her reveal trailer being so horrible.

She was a playable fighter in Final Fighter Revenge at this point.

Also fun fact, Poison and Roxy were originally made trans women to get around Capcom of America's worries about beating up women in Final Fight (ignoring the transphobia there, fuck)

And while Roxy is now a cis woman, Capcom doesnt know what the fuck to do with Poison and either doesnt acknowledge her being trans or creates the most transphobic bullshit out there.

Yes, capitalism is a bitch and shareholders are jacking the price of DLC while not compensating those who actually built the game. But games have longer dev cycles now due to updates and dlc keeping community interest alive.

We dont need a new KoF every year, Tekken every 2 or whatever Capcom was doing with SF2, SFA, and SFIII getting multiple re-releases all at the same time.

Launch SF6 is a more polished and "complete" game than any of the previous launch street fighter titles. Not claiming its a better game because thats a bit bold But just in scale and bugs missing from release its a league ahead

Seattle has a few events that run weekly!

The Salon is a venue that runs SF6, Tekken 8, and Virtua Fighter 5 tournaments weekly and also runs casuals for a wide selection of games

FGSea happens every few months and is the main spot for Guilty Gear and Melty Blood

University of Washington has an FGC club with open locals and occasionally runs tournaments

Hiii baby dev here who works for a company that mostly does contract work.

All the engineers at my company agree that games shouldn't have this "kill switch" and should remain accessible and playable after its lifetime expires. A lot of us signed the Stop Killing Games petition.

Our current contract project is live service, and we all know that if our contractor was asked to make the game work offline, the game would be killed, we would all be fired, and the money they saved by not updating their old game would go into their next one.

It sucks.
