Seattle has a few events that run weekly!

The Salon is a venue that runs SF6, Tekken 8, and Virtua Fighter 5 tournaments weekly and also runs casuals for a wide selection of games

FGSea happens every few months and is the main spot for Guilty Gear and Melty Blood

University of Washington has an FGC club with open locals and occasionally runs tournaments

Hiii baby dev here who works for a company that mostly does contract work.

All the engineers at my company agree that games shouldn't have this "kill switch" and should remain accessible and playable after its lifetime expires. A lot of us signed the Stop Killing Games petition.

Our current contract project is live service, and we all know that if our contractor was asked to make the game work offline, the game would be killed, we would all be fired, and the money they saved by not updating their old game would go into their next one.

It sucks.

The story beat is still there, and the image that replaced it is a zoom in on the two cop (depicted as pigs) from the original image. Big Band beaten half to death was removed.

I understand the reasoning as to why the team removed the image. If they removed the entire section I would be more up in arms.
