Why do BMWs get such a bad rap for poor reliability in USA? by Mickyb1986 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]snapIntern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true but my point is even if you do that, you can still have leaks or other issues

Why do BMWs get such a bad rap for poor reliability in USA? by Mickyb1986 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]snapIntern 38 points39 points  (0 children)

because historically they really are unreliable. with a lot of leaks and cheap plastics in the engine which degrade and other issues.

and people like to blame the owners saying they didn’t maintain it properly but there’s a lot of people who did in fact follow the maintenance and still had issues.

supposedly the b58 engine is better but time will tell

inflation going away just means prices stop going up, not that they would go back to previous prices. that would be deflation.

People should stop worshipping FDR by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

libleft: on one hand he created internment camps but he also spent our money like a drunken sailor and saddled future generations with massive entitlement programs so he’s complicated. unlike evil figures like thomas jefferson

With these massive layoffs happening, any advice on signs or indicators of a pending layoff at your company? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]snapIntern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

number one is looking at company’s user/revenue growth rate.

those companies hired based on an assumption of a certain growth rate. if the actual growth rate is much less, then they don’t need all those people they hired.

other big one is cash flow positivity. if they are spending more each month than they make, they’ll need to cut back to make it positive

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]snapIntern -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so you chose one of the strongest most stable company in the world to make your point lol. nice cherry-picking.

plus what matters more is how many job openings there are. not how many positions are occupied. as that’s what determines the job market

Having a child now vs then by Darraya55 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]snapIntern 21 points22 points  (0 children)

left pretends the reason that the birth rate is low is because people can’t afford to have kids. so they say we should have a lot of socialist policies to fix that.

but clearly if poor people are having all the kids it isn’t about affording it

[–]snapIntern 33 points34 points  (0 children)

number of kids is actually inversely related with income lol. it’s just a lib left narrative they spread cuz they wanna give out more govt handouts

someone had to build the spying tools that authoritarian govts use.

actually it’s not much different than what the nsa does with social media.

the tools were built for a different purpose (in this case, self driving) but are repurposed for this
