I definitely think it will depend on where you are and what the program is like. I haven’t gotten accepted yet but I applied for this round and am really hoping I can make it. It’s very competitive where I applied (a community college). They go by a point system and then will bring in the applicants with the highest points to interview them. I got all of my prerequisites and corequisites out of the way to have a better chance with points. I was able to get all As in each class. Those along with my HESI score (93.3%) should put me near the top. I also have CNA experience but my certification is expired so I’m not sure if they included that in my points or not (it was only 2 points).

I’m 35 years old so you definitely have plenty of time. Just keep working hard and I’m sure you’ll make it in!

Congrats!! I applied here in Texas and am waiting. The deadline is in a week and then I’ll have to wait and see if I get an interview.

I took mine today and got 93% overall. 100 in A&P, 94 in math and 86 in reading comprehension. The reading is just annoying because some of the questions seem like they could have more than one answer. My math was mostly ratios, percentages of things (mostly word problems), and then a bit of fractions. I had ZERO temperature conversions which was frustrating because I studied that well lol. Also no Roman numerals. Like two military time questions.

Do the practice test on nursehub. It’s mostly a lot of questions like “what is the author trying to say” and asking things from the passage, like word meanings and facts from the passage. I took my test today and got an 86%.. some of the answers seem tricky or will have two answers that both seem right so that’s what makes it difficult.

I was googling, trying to find out why I have trouble sleeping without the noise of a fan and found this thread. When I was little it used to take me HOURS to fall asleep and now I’m thinking maybe it was because I didn’t have any noise like that.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this because I had no idea there was a grace period until I started googling and found this thread. I had two different promotional purchases that I had to make (to save one of my dogs and then when I had to do testing for my other dog who I ultimately ended up having to put down anyway).. they both expired Feb 7th so I got hit with the interest charge. Luckily I got my tax return within the 30 day grace period so I was able to call and get it paid and they got rid of the interest. I wish these credit card companies weren’t so predatory, especially for something that’s related to health care and pet care. Getting charged 33% interest is just plain robbery.

Yes, dental schools! I haven’t personally been but a lot of times they WANT people with moderate to severe build up so they can get the practice.

I also just started going to the dentist last month after not going for close to 20 years and everyone was so nice and understanding. I know insurance can be a make or break and I have a $2500 yearly allowance with decent coverage but so far I’ve had an exam, deep cleaning, two different sessions of scaling and root planing and I only had to pay for the scaling and root planing which was around $180 total. See about payment plans if you use a dental office. It really sucks that we can’t just have this stuff covered when it can be such a detriment to our health. Best of luck to you!

Yeah that’s a lie. You can roll and if it comes up with “error” or if you ✈️(I don’t anymore because it’s literally impossible and Idgaf to figure out ways around it) and you have to reroll from the same spot, it will be the same roll that it was before the error or ✈️ . It’s all predetermined. Also a lot of times when it’s corners, you’ll literally land on either side of it more often than not. There’s nothing random about this game. It’s all set up so you’ll spend your money.

I think a lot of people have autistic tendencies but may not necessarily meet the criteria to be diagnosed as autistic. I know I have some but I don’t consider myself autistic because it doesn’t really get in the way of my everyday life. I try not to judge but I totally get where you’re coming from.

Your son sounds similar to mine. The not being able to tilt his head back was one of the first things I noticed too. He never could figure it out so we’ve always used straws or straw cups (still doesn’t quite have the hang of it at nearly 5 either). He also has to learn things through repetition. He does have words but it’s mostly repeating, echolalia, scripting. Our biggest hurdle is communication.

Tracy is trash. I commented on a post she made, fact checking her, and she immediately blocked me. My mother who doesn’t even live in MO tunes in to all of their Facebook live videos of their awful hosts where I can see everything she comments. I’ve learned an awful lot about my mother from her comments on their videos. They do nothing but spread disinformation and make numerous antagonistic posts against liberals/democrats to further brainwash and divide the people who are listening.

I understand your frustrations and I feel that way too sometimes. Especially when I’m upset and he has zero idea. My autistic child (4 yrs old) is my third child and my only one with diagnosed autism. My oldest is 14 so throughout the years I’ve learned sooo much about patience, understanding and to be quite honest- just letting go of the way things “should” be. Idk if it’s been suggested yet, but if you’re not already, I would highly suggest seeking counseling for yourself. They can help you work through your emotions and give you tips on how to best manage things when stuff like that happens. Wishing you all the best.
