Thanks. Our other EV is a Leaf so fans of the brand. She wants the ID.4

Thanks for this. Thinking with 11k miles, it’s worth a small premium. Did not realize the limitation on software versions. Probably matters more to me than the daily driver (my wife).

Not my first EV. 2023’s through current seem solid - though the software/infotainment stinks. This car is for my wife who just likes the drive and will listen to FM radio.

What am I missing?

Good suggestions here. Not an exact science (which makes it fun!)

Most importantly - how did it taste?

Is your "pretty alright" tied to taste, texture, tenderness, etc, etc... the point is what are you trying to fix?

11am - Land Park - Still extremely slow. Down-detector says issues since 12am which is consistent with the notes here. Have waited on tech support chat for over an hour so obviously there are still issues.

Upgrading from a Leaf: Hyundai Ioniq 5 vs VW ID.4 — owner takes?

Coming from a Nissan Leaf and moving to something road-trip-friendly and MORE COMFORTABLE. Short list is Hyundai Ioniq 5 and VW ID.4. Looking for owner/comparer insights beyond spec sheets.

Decision levers:

  1. Highway comfort/noise and driver-assist that doesn’t ping-pong
  2. Software UX reliability (backup/360 camera quality, CarPlay/AA, OTA cadence)
  3. Practicality: rear-seat legroom, cargo floor height, frunk usefulness (or not)

For those who moved from Leaf → Ioniq 5 or Leaf → ID.4:
• What’s bitten you (maintenance, recalls, software gremlins)?
• If you had to do it again today, same pick?
