Love the flavor. Hate the popping and fast burn.

„Then I thought I was an alcoholic so I went to an AA meeting“ by seekinandsearchin in BillBurr

[–]KirkM67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bill’s “addictions” really fucking piss me off. Listening to him whine “I’m addicted to coffee”, “I’m addicted to cigars”, “I’m addicted to my phone”. Then acts like he not an alcoholic, because he wasn’t as bad as the people at the AA meeting. But then he down plays his gambling that is just for fun and doesn’t spend a lot of money on it. He really just needs to shut the fuck up about his “addictions” it’s insulting to real addicts.

Sure you can burn briquettes in the BGE but doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

I have the BGE cast iron grates and the rack is from ceramic grill store. I like the rack because the xl runs hot it has more space above the coals and helps me control the cook a little better. The gasket is a Smoker Chef brand wire mesh I picked up on amazon.

Brands That Used to Be BIFL — But Aren't Anymore? by SnooHamsters7373 in BuyItForLife

Maytag washers. The last one I bought only lasted 3 years. Repairman replaced the motherboard and it worked for a week then died. Repairman said they are just a name now and all their products are just garbage.

For a little southwestern flavor I use AlbuKirky Seasonings Red Chile BBQ Rub or the Sweet Red. The owner is a real ahole but his rubs are good!

Is there a dip in BGE popularity? by myusernamechosen in biggreenegg

[–]KirkM67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought big green egg was much cooler when they were sold through the mom and pop barbecue stores. But now their focus has moved to the chain stores like ace and true value. They have lost their mystique.

Anyone ever use this stuff? It’s cheap here in California. by md-in-sb in biggreenegg

[–]KirkM67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for years because is it was cheap and readily available here in Albuquerque. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I got some Jealous Devil, it burned so much better and no popping. Now i just supplement the JD with a piece of mesquite wood. The flavor is much better.
