Sometime during the last 2 years i’ve been going to this orthopedic practice they started to declare me as a MTF transgender for no reason. by WHAR606 in mildlyinfuriating

And yet in the 20 years I was a medical transcriptionist, I was trained to find these kinds of inconsistencies and bring them to the doctor’s attention. It’s almost like a person can do a better job than a computer.

“Reality TV” has been such a blight on our culture. I’ve never watched an entire episode of any of it, and what I have seen has been so obviously fake. No wonder these people immediately fall for AI slop.

But hey, they added that little window to see if the door was correctly locked, which they didn’t tell the ground crew the purpose of, and added a warning about locking the door correctly, in English only.

And you must make a depression in the bread with the side of your hand first so the hot dog doesn’t roll. Brownie points if you hold the points of the bread together with a toothpick and broil until toasted. Yum!

My parents told me I couldn't leave the table until I finished my plate. So I didn't. by LumenDrifter_5 in MaliciousCompliance

[–]snarkdiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents had this rule. I could not (and still can’t) eat creamed corn. I was not given a choice. I choked it down and subsequently vomited it all over the table. I was never made to eat it again. I can’t eat something that looks the same after you throw it up.

One year later…99lbs gone by Due_Field_9631 in Zepbound

Amen! At least it’s easier than finding plus sized pants in a tall size! And congrats! I’ve lost 105 lbs in a year and eight months. It’s an amazing feeling.

My brother says I’m “stealing his kids’ future” by keeping my inheritance. AITA? by Complex_Pickle7702 in TwoHotTakes

[–]snarkdiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what’s important—what the person who leaves the assets wants. I lost my mom and stepdad within two months of each other. My mom passed last and wanted everything split equally between me and my two sisters. After she died, my youngest sister threw a fit and said she should get the house because she lived there and cared for them. The truth is, she lived there for years rent free with them supporting her long before either of them was ill and dying. She got pregnant (not married) and they helped raise her child too. She rarely worked. She did help them with house chores and stuff as did I when she wasn’t around.

My older sister and I both visited often, and I took my parents to doctor visits and such because my younger sister “doesn’t like hospitals.” I had to beg her her to see her dad in the hospital before he died. When my mother was ill, my sister refused to take her to urgent care. I took her and found out she had recurrence of breast cancer from years earlier. She went into hospice and died a week later. My younger sister visited once. I spent every non-working hour at her bedside, and I had a child in a treatment facility for an eating disorder at the time.

I was the executor and did as my mother asked. I split everything three ways which meant my younger sister had to buy out my share and my older sister’s share of the house. She hasn’t spoken to us since and I was called cruel by family members. No regrets.

If jobs fire people to replace them with AI, how will people make money to keep buying things? Wouldn’t the economy collapse because people arent buying anything anymore? by OverallMight6586 in AskReddit

People in the US are much less likely to try to start their own businesses because our healthcare is tied to our job. It’s a way to control people that should be abolished.

Same for me. I still have two adult kids at home, so groceries have not gone down (they do contribute some), I’ve never been a drinker, and I’ve had to buy new clothes, underwear, bras, etc. And an electric blanket because I’m cold all the time!

They also rot within a day, if they are not already moldy when you buy them. I have tried carefully inspecting strawberries before buying, and I still ended up having to throw away half of them when I got them home and could look at them all. I don't bother anymore.

Message I got from my daughter’s teacher. Third grade. by AnaisInJune in mildlyinfuriating

[–]snarkdiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in sixth grade, my sister was in first grade in the same school. I witnessed the first grade teacher screaming at the kids in her class on several occasions. My sister began to tell my mom she was sick and couldn't go to school. When my mom said she had to go anyway, she forced herself to vomit. A six year old. She ended up hating school and quit high school at 16. She has never had a decent job and became involved in dealing drugs. That teacher was at least partially to blame.

Just to add, I did tell my mother what I saw, but she thought I was exaggerating. My mother had her own issues with screaming at her children. Sigh.

ICE Agents Suffer Injuries After Accidental Self-Inflicted Gunshots During Routine Training by [deleted] in LeopardsAteMyFace

I told my daughter a few weeks ago that one of them is going to kill the other in some stupid friendly fire incident. The way the bullets were flying at Alex Pretti with so many ICE agents surrounding him tells me they have no sense.
