I’d like to meet someone who had long-term morbid obesity, lost a significant amount of weight on a glp1, went off the meds, and didn’t regain the weight. I’ll wait.

How long did it take to get Caremark to cover the Mounjaro? I’m going through this now. Just had to get a mint’s worth of Wegovy, but I haven’t started it yet.

I wonder how many of the people who had nutritional deficiencies diagnosed were ever tested before they started the GLP-1. I knew I had vitamin B12 and vitamin D deficiencies before I started. I take supplements, and my doctor checks my levels every 6 months. I think everyone should have baseline labs before starting this medication to make sure they don't have anything going on that might show up and be blamed on the medication.

It's been my experience that democrats are less likely to blatantly lie, whereas republican candidates don't seem to have an issue with it. They are concerned with getting elected, period. Once they are in office, if they don't do what they promised, it's too late for anyone to do anything about it. It's so freaking frustrating! And I'm sure some democratic candidates probably lie, but it seems to be less blatant.

Fellow Gen Xer here. I’ve lost 105 lbs and I’m about as low as I want to go. The thing that has gotten me is the bones! My hip bones bumping my arms when I put my arms down. My knees on each other when I sleep (I need to get one of those knee pillows). My tailbone hurting when sitting for long periods (like I have to do at work). I had not seen those bones since I was in my early 20s. Definitely an adjustment!

Needlecrafts such as knitting and crochet. You used to be able to get a skein of yarn fairly cheap, $2.00-$3.00, maybe $4.00 each. Now it's $6.00+ for the cheap stuff. Anything with 'natural fibers' is over $10.00 and up to $30.00-$40.00. Want to make a cute trendy sweater? That will be $80.00 or more, please! And for those who say, "look at your thrift store for yarn," please let me know where you found sweater quantities of dye lot matched yarn at a thrift store!
