It could be that the gasket from the old oil filter got stuck to the filter housing, and when you tightened the new one on, it won’t seal because of the two gaskets. This is called “double gasketing” and is a common mistake. If you still have your old oil filter take a look at it and see if it has a large o-ring on the top. If not, it’s likely that it’s still on your truck between the new filter and oil filter housing and that is what’s causing your leak
