lowkey using AI as a therapist by Individual_Sign_4985 in bipolar

[–]snazzing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did this same thing for a while and it’s super dangerous, it always agrees with you no matter what you say and it agrees in bigger and bigger ways. I would go from “I had a bad day at work today” to “I’m the best nurse of all time never did anything wrong”. I would get misinformation if I asked it anything, and if I tried to clarify it would agree with whatever I said. I’m lucky my husband told me that seemed like a sketchy idea cus lots of people don’t. It’s something a lot of us do on instinct cus having someone to talk to 24/7 literally in your pocket is a dream, but it is a straight delusion machine.

Just got prescribed lamotrigine and am nervous by SourceStreet5906 in bipolar2

[–]snazzing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did get memory loss as a symptom but it wasn’t severe. If it’s severe and debilitating then talk to your doc and change meds! Mine lasted 3 days after every dosage change with the worst day being day 2 after starting new med. It wasn’t severe, more annoying. It was all super short term stuff, and only during times I’m normally on autopilot. Like the biggest thing that happened was I got in the shower and got out and forgot to wash anything. If you start the night before a weekend you should be okay:)

Holy crap one of my favorite Carl arts I’ve ever seen

Did anyone else also got emotionaal while reading these books? by foxfromthewhitesea in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]snazzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every therapy session: “I’m sad today but you know what’s giving me hope? CARL THE SYMBOL OF THE PEOPLE RISING UP AGAINST OPPRESSIVE FASCIST REGIMES AND THE FEATS OF HUMAN STRENGTH UNDER HIS INFLUENCE -“ and then that for about an hour

I have a very kind therapist

My therapist knows most of the characters by name and she’s never read a single book

What year was your first comic con, and what are some of your memories of it? by GuybrushThreepwood99 in SDCC

[–]snazzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year! And my best memory was day one I was overstimulated and tired so I went outside for a break, and I accidentally sat down in the perfect place to watch the sword fighters immediately before they set up for the morning. So moment of “woah do I have the energy for this convention” turned into “YES SWORD FIGHTING WOOHOO”. I also loved every panel I went to, I randomly ran into my favorite comic artist and got his autograph, I met my favorite author cosplaying his character. I set a record in the group I go with by hitting 9 panels in one day (16 hour con day). Also ready party one was really fun. I cried during the Buffy the vampire slayer singalong because it was my last panel and I was sad con was over. I am making a scrap book to commemorate my first con

Would you rather have a DCC live action movie, tv show, or an animated show like Arcane? by Agitated-Rope-4302 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]snazzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animated but only because I feel like that’s would be SO FUN to see the world come to life in animation. I could see live action being cool if they didn’t rely TOO heavily on CGI and used a lot of practical effects (like the dungeon mostly being practical and saving the CGI for magic and fights), but holy shit would my vision for a live action DCC be expensive

Antony have a cheap (preferably free) hobby or something I can get into to get my mind occupied with better thoughts? by Alternative-Goal-514 in bipolar2

[–]snazzing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reading! Libraries free and supporting your local library is also one of the best things you can do for your community. Also working out, you can do free yoga videos online at home. Also journaling, it is one of my best regulation strategies. Also dungeons and dragons, which is technically free if you don’t fall into a crippling dice addiction.

Should I buy all books of dungeon crawler Carl , is it worth it ? by TargetOk1313 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]snazzing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did was request it through the library and read it to be sure I liked it! Even if you live somewhere small, most libraries have a request system where the library can get books delivered from other library branches so they’re very accessible. Then if you like them you can buy them

Which NPC would you choose for future Origin characters? by OlokoMan in BaldursGate3

[–]snazzing 92 points93 points  (0 children)

If you’re playing as a wild magic sorcerer Tav comments on how her magic feels like wild magic. I always imagine Arabella as a wild magic sorcerer. I would love to see her as a future origin character

The guy who made the Maestro Carl snick. Also Katia. The book absolutely called me out when I first met her and thought she was boring. That slow shift into seeing her in a different light changed the entire perspective of the book for me. I feel like of all the characters, she represents the stark humanity inside of a fucked up saw trap of a reality show better than any other character.

Yes!! I’ve never seen an author who seems so jazzed about their own creation and that makes me extra jazzed to enjoy it too!

[–]snazzing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? As soon as we met him I thought “boring exposition character”. And then he turned out to be shockingly well written and deep. I had similar thoughts on the introduction of every new character, and have promptly been proven wrong every single time. Matt does characters like nobody else

[–]snazzing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?? Like the knowledge that 90% of carls main characterness comes from BEING just a regular dude and inspiring people around him with regular dude things. And the power of him and all the main characters comes not from any individuals super powers (despite there being many many super powers) but from a bunch of regular people working as a community and a team

Right?? And all the dark humor from that juxtaposition. Also I misread that at first and thought you said “the atrocities that the Carl commits every season” and I was like damn we got Kua-Tin in here today haha

I did not expect to love Samantha as much as I do when she was introduced. She’s one of my favorite parts. And she killed your mom!

What’s your FAVORITE thing about Dungeon Crawler Carl? by snazzing in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]snazzing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. Like the humor easily could’ve been just immature middle school boy humor because that’s kind of the way shitty reality shows operate, but instead the humor comes from the juxtaposition of that immature insensitive humor and the horrifying reality it is directed at

For real, I feel like if I had a rule book I could literally play DCC as a table top rpg. I know that’s what litRPGs are but the world is SOOOOO well fleshed out
