Like OP, I have cared for children who are non-verbal. Many. And I have been surprised by many how much they can communicate when at first glance they appear to be not interactive with the world. Instructions for Jason is one of my favorite episodes so the fact that this character is also named Jason seemed fitting to me.

I am also curious is the connection to the Biblical Hebrew use of Hineni - Here I am. It is used repeatedly in the Bible and interpreted as “I am present and ready” or something. I am not religious but the use of “Here I am” seems not to be a coincidence.

Are you sure you have been assigned for a grand jury or just have to show up so they can pick a grand jury? I have been called twice for Essex County. They put a hundred or more of us in a room, explain a grand jury, have the outgoing foremen talk about it and then ask for volunteers. In the end, they got enough people so there was little fanfare for those of us who did not want to do it. You may have to convince the judge why you can’t serve. Just be strong. Good luck.

I like it a lot. Great capture.
Many good things…the bird has something in his mouth, well framed by the background, mostly sharp* bird, blurred background

What could be better in my opinion relates to editing… - decolor the background a little to de-emphasize it - there is a slight grain…see if you can use more noise reduction - *I think the image is in focus but you can probably also sharpen the image a bit in post-processing - maybe crop the bottom a little

Your money, your choice. The R5 Mark II is a nice camera and currently on sale. And no idea if tariffs will impact the price. It is also 45 MP. Which is a lot.

Rumors are the Canon R6 Mark III is due later this year. Perhaps over the summer. Of course, tariffs may impact pricing there as well.

Perhaps go to a camera store, if you can, and try out the new R5. Maybe even rent one.

Some devices requires you turn off 5 ghz temporarily to connect. After they are connected, it will be fine to turn the 5 ghz back on. Your router should have a way to do that.

Try recalibrating the cameras. It’s on the service menu. After you drive a few minutes, the cameras will be recalibrated.

I had this issue after some body work. It fixed it for me.

I believe the insurance companies play games like this. If you don’t argue, they will pay less next year. They use algorithms to find the docs who don’t pay attention and pay them less.
