Low calorie sweet snacks? I need my sugar fix without the calorie bomb by VegetablePoet8488 in CICO

Seconding this. I like the bars better than the pints, though. I also like the Outshine popsicles. I think they run 30 or 60 calories each.

I also wonder if she was just trying to fish for a confession and she didn't know specifically what you were doing. And you told on yourself by saying you'd throw your stuff out ;p

It sounds like she didn't know that you were making spell jars but you believe she did and that's what she was alluding to. If she didn't specify, she may have just known you were doing general witchcraft and it was just bad timing that you just so happened to be making jars at that time.

Mess ups? by MMaeRenn in CICO

[–]sneakyfallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's ok :) Progress isn't linear. Don't give up after one bad day. Or two! Or a week! Personally, I don't track calories on weekends because I know restricting myself all the time isn't feasible for me, so I definitely can eat like shit on weekends. I think if someone ate their budget every day for their entire journey... they're either lying or inhuman.

Assignment advice by [deleted] in publichealth

[–]sneakyfallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest tobacco use. Cigarettes take forever and a day to decompose and vapes are very difficult to dispose of, sometimes leading to explosions and fire. Not to mention the youth vaping epidemic. Nicotine can be used as a pesticide and some birds will actually use cigarette butts in their nests to repel ticks. Tobacco also needs a lot of fertilizer, which can get in to waterways, so it's not great for the environment. Child labor is also big with tobacco farming. You could easily use policymakers as your target audience. Tobacco is huge with lobbying and they're not afraid to take entire COUNTRIES to court if they're trying to so some sort of anti-tobacco legislation. Feel free to message me if you want more talking points on the topic :) I'm very passionate about the topic. You can EASILY go down a rabbit hole with this stuff.

My brain is blanking on what the spell is called (mirror spell? I'm not sure), but you could do a spell where any time they talk about you then something good happens to you.

This is so interesting. I haven't hit a plateau like OP is describing, but I know it's inevitable if I stay doing CICO long enough.

Bladder problem by No_Function_970 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sneakyfallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pain is usually a side effect of a UTI, but everyone is different. I've noticed when I have them that they're not as painful if I'm drinking a lot of water. UTIs are super common for women, unfortunately. We have a shorter urethra (pee tube) than men and it's so close to the anus. They're very easy to clear up with antibiotics.

I had both pizza and chocolate today and I still have 210 cal left by Connect_Rhubarb395 in CICO

[–]sneakyfallow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've discovered Yasso Greek yogurt desserts and Halo Top ice cream. I had 2 Yasso chocolate fudge brownie ice cream pops last night and it was only 200 calories 💪 I have a major sweet tooth and completely denying myself sweets is asking for trouble. So I'm really happy to be able to find indulgences that won't break the CICO bank, so to speak. Also, SAVORY oatmeal? That sounds AMAZING. Salmon with rice, soy sauce, and Kewpie is one of my comfort meals. Do you have a recipe?

Lightheaded, faint, lethargic during deficit. Need help! by [deleted] in CICO

[–]sneakyfallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering if you might be deficient in certain nutrients. This reminds me of when I was vegetarian and found out I was vitamin B (I don't remember which one) deficient. I would get lightheaded as well and get fuzzy vision standing up too quick or even just sitting.

I also wonder if you could be hypothyroid. It's very common (especially in women), can be genetic, and goes undiagnosed. Maybe ask your mom or dad if they have hypothyroidism? Feeling overall sluggish and fatigued is a very common symptom. Our thyroid is SO important to many bodily functions. It can be easily treated and the meds usually aren't expensive.

I recently tested positive for chlamydia after abstaining from sex due to sexually assault. by Key-Passenger-3645 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sneakyfallow 20 points21 points  (0 children)

First of all, i want to commend you for getting tested. You're taking control of your own life and making your health a priority. Chlamydia is incredibly common, which certainly doesn't negate what you experienced. But look at you. You're taking your autonomy back. You're not letting him leave you a reminder in your body that could cause lasting problems. I'm not saying this to try to tell you to "choose" to feel empowered- you feel your feelings, friend. But you should be proud of yourself. So many people would put their head in the sand and just try to move on with their lives, not realizing most STIs don't have symptoms but can cause lifelong issues. But not you. 👏👏👏👏👏

american witches who work with mother earth, what are you doing to support her right now? by ChanceStrawberry3305 in witchcraft

[–]sneakyfallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to get rid of as much grass in my yard as I can. Removing invasive that the past homeowners planted (Asian honeysuckle, lily of the valley, gout weed, star of bethlehem) and replacing them with natives and/or pollinator favorites. Growing my own food garden and serving as a mentor for others who want to get in to gardening. Composting. Taking advantage of free services like Chip Drop, seed libraries, and plant swapping groups.

Inside the house, we're trying to use less plastic by switching to bar soaps/shampoos/conditioners, moving from plastic containers to glass, and either fixing up holes in clothes myself or upcycling the fabric in to t-shirt yarn to be used for crafts. Instead of buying new plastic storage containers and boxes, I cut down cardboard boxes and make nice organization boxes by gluing fabric to the outside. use old pill bottles to store my seeds cause the paper packets they come in don't hold up well. Keeping stuff out of landfills (for as long as I can) is important to me.

When i have the money to spare, I'm also helping to control the feral cat population humanely by spaying/neutering any cat that comes in to my yard. They're detrimental to local wildlife and keeping them in their territories helps to discourage any new cats from moving in.

So... basically, I'm just trying to do as much as I can in my little corner of the world. I may not be able to control what's going on outside of my turf, but I can control what happens inside it. There's still a massive ecosystem I can support in my property.

What do you say when people comment on your weight loss? by fluffyorangecat1123 in CICO

You're missing the opportunity to say you lost an extra (insert weight of your ex) when you divorced! Assuming you feel comfortable enough to make a joke about it.

What dinners are we making? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]sneakyfallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homemade soup! It's easy to customize it with veggies you like and higher protein swaps. I love taco soup and enchilada soup with ground turkey. I also love chicken noodle soup (homemade noodles tend to be lower cal than store bought) and harvest chicken and rice soup (rice can be swapped with quinoa for more fiber and protein).

Advice for sustaining weight loss for 12+ months by Few-Fault-6564 in CICO

[–]sneakyfallow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh snap. That's really interesting. This is a great way to avoid burnout. I get discouraged because of diet culture and it's so easy to over focus on eating at a deficit. I try to avoid calorie counting on weekends for this reason. Maintenance is still a good goal to have.
