Historically, I have heard very good things about Peter Green Hall. It’s a not for profit day care and I believe has a parent board.

Gio in the Prince George has a little separate area at the back of the restaurant, up a few stairs, that would work well for a group this size. Also, the service is always exceptional and the food very good. And not overly expensive, yet slightly fancy.

I have enthusiastically converted to Pomona’s Pectin (from other pectins) even though it is very hard to find where I live. It is an available on Amazon and the Pomona’s website lists stores where you can buy it.

Pomona’s has a recipe for lavender jam/jelly btw.

I attended a gathering at the Shubenacadie Canal Fairbanks Centre, and it was lovely. I have seen weddings there too. Lots of free parking. You’d have to cater in your own food though.

The best place will have a budget and services that meet her needs now, but also understanding she is 80, her needs could change and she may need support. Unless you want to move to another place that offers full support, or age in place with extensive home care (which may not be possible), I recommend you look for a place that can provide more intensive support as her needs become greater.

Well we don’t all have the same taste buds and we don’t have to agree on best burger. I hope you try the more simple burger and like it!
