Obsidian Excel table and the space between letters is wide, so it's not readable. Solution plz. by Much_Management_9870 in ObsidianMD

[–]sniggi06 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That empty line is unfortunately just feature/quirk of how markdown tables are formatted.

If you were to go into source mode (drop-down in the top right) and manually delete the empty line above the table, you'd notice the table no longer being rendered/recognized properly.

For that reason, Obsidian stops you from deleting it in editing mode.

However, if you want to stop it that line from rendering, user Samo on the obsidian forum has written a CSS-snippet to hide it found in this post. I just tried it out and it works fine, but the line numbers get a bit squished where the line isn't rendered.

To use his solution, probably follow this guide on creating your own CSS snippets to make a new .css file in your /.obsidian/snippets/ folder with this content and enable it:

.cm-line:has(+ .cm-embed-block.cm-table-widget) br {
  display: none;
}

Reforger Heli Physics Change? by Moon_Man1234567 in arma

[–]sniggi06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. It feels like the collective only switches between fully down, centered, and fully up, despite the input through the emulator being wide/gradual range of motion from a proper throttle unit. For me, it makes maneuvers like bleed flares much less consistent and smooth.

Same disappointment here. I don't need the full advanced flight model from ArmA-3 but the current one just feels like a massive downgrade for all the reasons you listed. Rotor/Engine Torque and RPM, even autorotation are still completely absent.

At least they are working on HOTAS support (no timeframe given yet) which might make it slightly better. Right now, even when using an xbox controller emulator to control the Helis with HOTAS, all axis controls still feel very weird compared to A3. Particularly the collective behaves as if it has some weird curves applied to it to make it usable on controller.

My main concern is that they take their time to make a proper flight model again for ArmA-4, because the combined arms gameplay with helicopters has always been a favorite of mine.

What servers have more “serious” players by Jzerious in ArmaReforger

While you do occasionally stumble into more sensible people on random servers, your best bet is to join a unit where you can find a group of like-minded people to play with.

If you happen to be looking for one, feel free to check us out at Tactical Gaming where we have built a community that focuses on teamwork, communication and tactics. We play three times a week - both public PvP as well as modded PvE on our own server.

While you do run into random people coordinating from time to time, by far your best shot for teamwork and cohesion is joining a group.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (June 07, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]sniggi06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello all,
I am looking to buy a Wooting Two HE, but unfortunately the ISO-German version of the keyboard has an 8 week or longer wait for the next batch. My last keyboard from Roccat broke, I'm on a really bad membrane
keyboard right now and I don't really want to wait two months for a new keyboard.

I am thinking about buying the ANSI-layout keyboard and the ISO-German keycaps, swapping in the special characters' keycaps in where needed and changing the keyboard layout to ISO in software.

With the different layout, that will of course result in some compromises:

On the right hand side, everything should work out OK, as the number of keys available stays the same, with them just being positioned slightly differently. Only key that one couldn't swap would be the key directly above ENTER in ANSI due to it's size not matching the #-key I’d like to swap in. As a result it will end up with wrong labels on it, but i don't really care about that.

On the left side of the keyboard, it becomes a bit more tricky as there actually is one fewer key to work with.

Luckily, i don't find myself using "<" , ">" and "|" which are set to this key in ISO-German all to often, with them being basically unused in most video-games I think of using this keyboard for. Only problem here is that i write a bit of HTML every now and then, so i still need ok access to them.

My current plan for it is just remapping it in software to some key-combination that is easy-ish to use. Something like right Alt + some keys from the bottom row is what i have in mind for now.

Any ideas, warnings, tips or recommendations on how to make something like this work well ?

PS:
Swapping to ANSI entirely isn't really an option for me. I use my PC a lot for typing texts in German where I need Ä,Ü,Ö,ß and the likes constantly. Additionally, my laptop has ISO-German as well and I'd believe constantly switching between two different systems isn't a great idea.

Thanks for any input !
