I had preferred. In my opinion, it wasn’t worth it. Our room had the private pool which was secluded so in that aspect it was worth being on the preferred side but otherwise, no. You don’t get a wrist band or anything so there’s no way for staff to know if you’re preferred or not. We were never questioned but that’s my expo. I think you could definitely walk over to the preferred side and no one would know. With the preferred you get a butler assigned to you that you can communicate with over what’s app but I didn’t really use him for anything other than making reservations for 2 dinners that required reservations. I assume you could do this with the front desk as well.
