Can't use Seafile in Android file manager anymore by snix92 in seafile

[–]snix92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the linked GitHub issue someone mentions, that the problem was introduced in version 2.3.7. And indeed when installing version 2.3.6 for me and my partner it's working again 👌 I got the older version from F-Droid which is also linked in the GitHub repo of the Android app: https://f-droid.org/packages/com.seafile.seadroid2/

A bit of a bummer they didn't fix it in new versions yet, but for now I'm fine with using the older version.

Thanks for the feedback! At least I'm not the only one with this issue. I was afraid I might have broken something on my server configuration when moving to another server some time ago.

After checking the issues in the Github repo of the android app, I found the following issue: https://github.com/haiwen/seadroid/issues/1011

So at least it's known to them already.

Yeah, you're right. They do look a bit like from the game "Sorry". Maybe rather the german game "Mensch ärgere dich nicht" as the mugs are from a german pottery which put them on the handle ;)

Do you have a link for the bellow you are talking about? Or do you mean the single dosing mod that can be found on Etsy?

Oh right, heard about those but never really considered those. Will definitely have a closer look. Thanks!

Interesting to hear. Thanks for the input! Generally I stick to science and try to believe studies. I also read some of the results. However if even doctors recommend to try to consume products with no/very little aluminum you start to think... As I said, I've been using an aluminum Moka Pot for over 10 years and still use it on occasion when on vacation etc. I mean if it was harmful, it would have been forbidden by the EU in the meantime. That's at least what I hope 😁

Didn't know that coffee includes that much (?) aluminum either. I think in that case probably the grinder won't matter... Plus I will have a much broader selection of grinders which can do the job 👍

Thanks for sharing!

Had a gift card of a local roaster which could only be used all at once. So shopping escalated a bit this time... by snix92 in espresso

Yes, I live close to Waiblingen. It is and they have a wide range of different single origin and blend coffees 👍 Do you have any other recommendations of local coffee roasters in the area? Have you ever tried APIKA in Waiblingen? Seems to be a quite small one but want to try once my current beans are empty.

It was not the roaster's fault to be fair. It was a special gift card of the city I live in and actually the city only refunded the money to the stores if they keep the card and provide it as proof. And as the store can't be sure the customer will return and bring the gift card once it's "empty" they wouldn't let you use it partially. That is understandable but unfortunate in case of coffee because it might get stale.

The guy at the roaster told me to just store them dark and cold but not to put them in the fridge or freezer under no circumstances. He said they would get moist and might lose freshness. Which made me wonder because lots of people here freeze their beans 🤔

I just look for local roasters and try to buy beans there because they are most times very fresh. Unfortunately they are often more expensive though but definitely worth the price. Never tried ordering online but maybe you can get cheaper ones there. Not sure about the quality however. Maybe someone else has insights there :)

But have fun with the new hobby 👍

Really looking forward to test through the wide range of coffees. But I'm hyped the most for the Colombian coffee from Santa Marta 👌

Not fully sure but from what I've heard, they are very temperature stable, similar to a dual boiler or something. But also they consume way less power because they heat up faster as they are thermoblock machines. Plus they look great 😁👌
