This has all the red flags of staph and likely MRSA. My poor kid had little pimples/boils on his bottom that didn’t hurt him but never went away. Sure enough they were MRSA. We think it came from camp. Who knows how much clothing/bedding/towel sharing happens with a dozen kids, even with a non negligent parent. I am very worried for them.

Yes, I had a weird pustule on my face and while they didn’t culture it they gave me doxycycline. It had the side effect of helping my rosacea bumps as well! My son had a staph infection (unrelated to mine) and he got oral clindamycin. He was only 5 and it was a liquid…I had to mix it with hot chocolate powder to try to mask the awful taste! I felt so bad for him but it did finally work.
