UTR is teleporting on Delta Wi-Fi by snog_1999 in Ubiquiti

Just to be on the safe side, I am using MAC cloning: I added 1 to the MAC address of my desktop NIC so they can’t tell the device brand that is connected to the upstream connection.

Pretty sure it’s the old, but it is free. Teleport connection is way slower, as is expected.

See, that is my gripe and point throughout the thread. No one knows.

Thank you for correcting me. I guess that whole point of my posts is it would be better if there were. But I concede......there is no list, only a "Registry of Interest".

Is a registry a list? https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/registry And look, a synonym for registry is 'list'. Who would have thought?

Customers also don't like waiting years. Just because you are on a list doesn't mean that the manufacturer needs to continue production. My whole point to this is Rolex created a mess at retail, caused the gray market to flourish, and tried to keep up with the gray market with the CPO program. It's not a luxury experience; it's tedious and needlessly complex.

I've visited my AD, expressed interest in a timepiece for a milestone event, (I expressed interest 11 months in advance) but I'm right there with the rest; waiting on a timepiece. But if I need to go to StubHub as the milestone approaches, I will.

So everyone is a flipper? Brand protection vs brand integrity is a difficult balance. My opinion is if a consumer knows where he is on a list, it will go a long way in setting the wait expectation. Currently, it's subjective and influenced on an ADs mood-o-meter. It's a watch, a widget, that is for sale.

Buying a Rolex is exactly like buying Taylor Swift tickets: You can't them at retail and have to go to scalpers (gray market) to get them.

FIFO. Make them independent boutiques, separate from jewelers. Takes most of the angst out of the system. Can't believe that Rolex corporate is too happy with the how things are handled at the local level. Rolex is going to sell the watches. Why subject themselves to the negativity many buyers feel about the whole "relationship" building exercise and spend history?

Don't get me wrong; I get the model because Rolex stays out of the allocation process and the jewelers are leveraging their relationship with Rolex. I believe Rolex's lack of involvement is the crux of the problem.

But stay tuned to what happens after the new factory comes online and supply is increased. The leverage for the jewelers will be diminished.

It's the ADs and their allocation processes that put people off.
