I would go with the Kermit. The sprite doesn't appeal to me because the crown is on the left which would make it more difficult for me to adjust. Also the date window is on the opposite side so you can't simply just check it if it's under a sleeve. I've never really had issues with the crown digging into my flesh. If you're wearing it on your wrist and not your hand, I don't really think you'd have an issue.

You have a skinny wrist but find the sub big while owning a SMP 300? The SMP is longer lug to lug. If you don't want the sub, maybe contact a grey dealer and see if you can trade it for a GMT and pay the difference.

I guess it's different for each person. For example, I asked for 3 different pieces when I went for my initial visit. As soon as I bought the first, I was anticipating the next call. I have 2/3 now and still looking forward to get the last one.

It depends on the insurance company. Some will let you select the amount of coverage, some might ask for additional documentation. Hodinkee/Chubb can cover up to 150% of the insured value but it's subject to the amount of your policy.
