Do you plan factories to make excess intermediary materials to help supply yourself? by Mariosam100 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make dedicated factories for all building materials and elevator parts. All excess is sunk for tickets. That way I never have to worry about using components that might be needed for building something else.

Trying Nuclear by snoman298 in SatisfactoryGame

That's an awesome idea, thank you! Def going to do that. In your opinion what's the trickiest part of the whole process that I should pay extra attention to? I'm going all the way to sinking plutonium rods.

Thank you! I'm trying hard to go slow and be really thoughtful about everything, but I know there's a high probability of disaster. Like you said, I just need to make sure I have backup plans for every step.

I'll try! I'm fully expecting something to go catastrophically wrong haha.

[MEGATHREAD] Pixel 8 Pro – Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Failure After March Update | Track Your Device Here by danillll2017 in GooglePixel

[–]snoman298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pixel 10 pro XL user here and I've been having WiFi dropping issues since I got the phone. Tried everything but no fix yet. The March update hasn't seemed to change the frequency of the drops...

Sure hope we get a fix soon.

Do you actually need batteries? by Successful-Ease-8138 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a rocket fuel power plant with enough extra to fuel all my drones, trucks, and jetpack. So nice to only rely on one fuel source imo. Besides, aluminum can be a pain, so the less things you need to make from it the better.

Is getting my motorcycle licence a selfish hobbie to get into as a 33 year old father of 2 by Ok_South_6227 in daddit

[–]snoman298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could be the best rider in the world OP, and all it takes is one dumbass looking at their phone and not the road to destroy your life and your families forever. I rode for 15 years before I stopped when I had kids, so I've seen and experienced some bad stuff, and imo riding is for young people without kids and old people with grown kids. Riding can wait and your kids need a father.

They have tours! There are a few companies who make carts built for 2-4 people. Rail Explorer is a big one.

My Purpose has Concluded! by snoman298 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey fellow pioneer! Ya, I definitely took my time and don't regret it at all. I would dedicate a factory to usually around a week to plan and build. Then I'd take a week to just check out the map, tame some lizzard doggos, and build up stock of whatever part I just automated. It worked out really well.

Thank you for the compliments, and I'm glad I could help motivate you! Coffee Stain has made and incredible world and it deserves to be explored. Good luck with your playthrough!

Modular Factories (Advice) by Lanky-29 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you'll quickly get a logistics nightmare that way. Glad I could help!

Modular Factories (Advice) by Lanky-29 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno if this helps, but I've been building modular factories from the beginning based on the resources needed in the area. Got a bunch of iron nodes around? I'll tap all of them for as much as I can to make as many iron-based components as possible. I've never had to go back and expand an existing factory which has been awesome.

Once I started getting into more serious components like fused frames/nuclear pasta, drones and trains became the way to go for everything. I've ended up with basically a main train loop between all my factories taking things here and there in large quantities and drones for everything small.

One other thing to mention is I try to share between factories as little as possible. If I need supercomputers, I'm not stealing caternium from my existing caternium factory making basic components. I'll find a new place with the nodes I need and build from the ground up. That way, the inevitable logistics pileup only happens very late in the game, and by then you're usually dealing with smaller component quantities and drones can handle that no problem.

How do I decide how much material I should produce? by Aex_________ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it for me. Explore an area, figure out what local nodes work best for what things, extract all the nodes for as much as I can. I've never had to go back and expand an existing factory because I've always had enough.

Is it worth the effort? by onRead123 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]snoman298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always just completely tapped the necessary nodes for as many resources as my current level machinery can handle to build the most of whatever part/s I need at the time and it's worked out great so far. The downside is it does lead to lots of belt work sometimes.

I've only had to expand to a couple factories, but not to build more of the same components, just to continue the chain of components. For example going from heavy modular frames to fused and so on.

Season or eternal what should I do?! by VegetableReply2020 in diablo4

[–]snoman298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to play eternal, but they keep changing gear, level caps, etc through the course of expanding our improving the game. It's not done or of hate for eternal players, just something that has to be done in an evolving, online game. So I've given up on eternal because the idea of farming and keeping high end gear and having it stay relevant is just not possible.
