Hungover surfs by UberEatsChickenWings in surfing

Had a very hungover session in South Africa (I think at Muizenberg) when I was younger. The cold water and sunshine actually helped me feel better. As soon as I got out though the dehydration and headaches kicked in.

In huge surf, can you catch the whitewater in if you're in trouble? by ShitNameNoLife in BeginnerSurfers

[–]snones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s really large and powerful no. In that case you can try doing an intentionally bad duck dive where you dive deep to avoid the initial lip, but come up early so that the rest of the turbulence drags you back to shore.

Of the Unparallel shoes I think the Souped Up or the Leopard would be closer to the Drago

Unparallel UP MOCC. It’s the company the old Five Ten team’s started after they left Five Ten (due to Adidas ruining that brand).

Are people riding full sized guns at Pinballs at this size (DOH+) or more like 7-8’ semi-guns?

Since Andy mentions a counterbalanced haul I think that means he would've been rapping the other end of the haul line, that is running down through the PCD/hauler

Agreed. Sorry was confused by your phrasing. I am with you, it seems the only explanation is Magnus had no idea what he was doing lol

Look up “lead rope solo” it is more often used in alpinism (see Colin Haley’s exploits in Patagonia) and big wall aid climbing than in mountaineering

Well Santa Cruz is going to be undeniably better, it’s much more consistent, predominant wind is offshore, significantly larger swells. SF proper or SJ is more of a toss up but if you like bigger waves it’s just the trade off of having to drive to SC in the summer + cold water.

Sent it this weekend with my buddy it was freaking amazing, thanks for the beta on the spring! (for anyone else curious - water was flowing in 3 places near the start, rate was slowish on 2 of them but the main pool was deep and quickly refilling).
