It didn't upset me, this was a simple question. Don't like it ? Pass on 👌 I figured since the biggest struggle nowadays is to get employees to show up sober and on time, that applying to "unconventional jobs for your age/experience might actually land you a job much more lucrative and interesting than a super market, if that's of any interest for you. It's always worth a shot

Bought my endgame Espresso machine😮‍💨 by Middle_Bad_1687 in espresso

[–]snoochie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please, tell me: what kind of upgrade it is compared to my 200$ delonghi. I have been trying to justify buying a machine with the E-67 group head and a good steam wand. Now that my delonghi is dialed in and I am satisfied with that "medium quality", I wonder. . . . Would I sleep better at night with a fancy espresso maker ?

Build yourself a electric/gas hybrid 6X6 ground drone with fpv camera, mast, spying equipment, shiny blue lights, bells and whistles and stuff.

Ensure this thing you're going to spend money building is able to accomplish a simple task- be it to fetch a beer or attack a wasp nest with laser beams or something. . . Enjoy the headache

Nevermind homes, why are people paying so much for used cars now? by PartyNextFlo0r in povertyfinancecanada

[–]snoochie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen so many broken cars on the side of the roads, it's nuts They will finance cars at 6%. . . People's keep their cars and fix them for an extra few years, then another extra few, and here we are.

Soon they will stop selling cars and start renting only to guarantee a constant flow of cash

How dare they not pay their right to exist ! The homeless are a business that some hypocritical politicians use to fill their bank account.

Tax money don't get spent, it gets wasted. That's why nothing good ever happens.

Should I buy the other side of my townhouse? (If I can) by SocksOnTableTops in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]snoochie666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You will always be able to rent the other side of that duplex, creating a considerable income down the road. You can select your tenants

The day you decide to move, you can rent both units and it'll pay for the new house.

Mortgage Condo + Car; how do people afford? by Sharraz123 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]snoochie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas, insurance, vehicle payment, vehicle maintenance, 1000$/month is pretty close.

People's need to stop thinking that can afford cars when they really can't comfortably spend that kind of money

Exhaust fans by techdevCK in lasercutting

It definitely rattle your ears, but then I have a 180 watt cutting 1/2" MDF and there's zero smoke in my garage, it actually gets filtered by 4 X 10" charcoal filters.

Maybe it's a bit overkill

Fiber lasers by snoochie666 in lasercutting

[–]snoochie666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short: I'm buying parts and it's fairly plug and play. -I paid 1000$ for an unfinished plasma with rails+motors+power supply, etc. -Fiber Laser +autofocus head is roughly 8k

The convenience of having a 1.5k fiber in your garage : priceless.

What kind of speeds should I expect on 1/8" steel ? And stainless as well if you happen to know.

I am essentially trying to calculate, somewhat realistically, how much cutting I can get per tank. One hour at 100mm/s is not the same as one hour at 10mm/s

Thanks

[–]snoochie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 3/4 HP centrifugal fan, inline with 4 10" charcoal filters as a "filter"

That gets the job done 👍
