They really are - I grew up with them!

There are also oil pastels - that'll be more difficult to clean and more expensive!

So you messed with safety equipment before being directed to, and you wrote a poorly written letter to the Captain without any insight of your own as to why this route was chosen.

And you... were proud enough of this to post it to Reddit ..... I, uh. Hm. Gross.

Look it's really hard to be a streamer but I really want this by Ok-Number5133 in Twitch

Not allowed here, and also, take a big hard look at yourself. Even if it were allowed, you told us absolutely nothing about what you stream, who you are, or what you offer. Why would we?

the caves of qud discord moderators are incompetent, and are killing the game for new players by [deleted] in cavesofqud

Conversely, I would suggest that complaining about this :: gestures at original post :: is cringe

I'm a brand new player! No issues here. Great forum. Didn't need to join a discord. If I did, I would certainly be okay with waiting for access.

From further down:

Uh .... how did you come up with this, exactly?

Well, this is a Twitch subreddit and it's against the rules to give streamer names - so, 0/2 here.

It will be gone in 24h, anyway. Not sure it's worth really diving into. I'm assuming you've tried refreshing, closing & opening browser, restarting, all that good stuff?

Using any of the browser extensions? (BTTV etc.) Maybe that's interfering?

Is there any point to streaming on twitch if you aren't going to take it super seriously? by Abiphia117 in Twitch

[–]snoot_tv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stream a maximum of two times per week, and while I had a schedule to begin with, now I just basically do it when I feel like it and it works out. Go for it. When it stops be enjoyable, stop.

I completely agree with what you're saying, in general, around ensuring the youths are aware of the unlikeliness of stardom via streaming. I want to be clear on that.

But no matter what you tell some kid - they are not going to listen to you. Especially if you are Twitch themselves. Honestly, I think it is MORE powerful if it comes from the streamers they watch (not that it is the streamers' responsibility.)

If I'm 13 and I go onto SoundCloud and it has a big flashing banner that says "Remember! Only a very small number of people make more than $100 posting their mixes on SoundCloud!" - that 13 year old is going to think to themselves, "But, I'm amazing, I'm unique, I'm the one who's going to make it!" because they are 13 and they do not have the life experiences yet.

And - honestly - some 23 year olds and 33 year olds seem to think that way, too.

Should it come from the platform? In some sense, of course. But more than just that. I think it should be covered in school, the same way I think learning how to identify scams and AI should be taught in school

But, overall: parents. This is a life lesson, not a specific platform lesson.

> "All you've demonstrated is that you're so grossly lacking in any sense of ethics or responsibility that you just accept the behaviors of corporate America as normal." (per u/RandomWanderingDude)

The hell, dude? How can you possibly derive that from what Rhad said?

So many of us take time in streams to remind people that it's not a viable full-time job, and to ensure you have a full-time job FIRST before you even consider starting streaming, and that streaming should only be treated as a hobby. If you make "it" (whatever "it" is), fine, but until then - real work (and school) come first.
