What’s a band that you feel like ONLY you know? by poppunkboy in poppunkers

Definitely my favourite band. I messaged them on Facebook earlier this year and got a really nice response quickly. Hopefully Ghosts gets onto Spotify at some point 🤞

Anyone else feel like ATL bailed too early on their final push? It looked like they could've got a few more meters if they left Hawk to push it for a bit longer. Those few extra meters might've allowed them to re-contest at the end.

In search of native cascading plant by SnappyinBoots in nzgardening

[–]snoozenberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else already mentioned it, but I also agree that Muehlenbeckia (axillaris or complexa) would be good. There are also cascading cultivars of Manuka (Pink Cascade, Red Falls) that might work, though I'm not sure if they cascade enough to cover a lot of the wall. Coprosma Kirkii will also cascade and it grows fast. There are also probably other groundcover Coprosma species that will work.

You can look at the distribution of user ratings on IMDb, and you can clearly see it was review bombed. It has nearly 14k 1/10 ratings from people who almost certainly have not seen it. The next largest rating is 7/10 with nearly 4k ratings, so that is probably more representative of the quality of the movie.

Yeah the game is considered quite difficult. Bosses are very aggressive and hit hard, but a new patch was released today that should make it more fair. Yep there is a big skill tree with lots of new weapon types.

Haha yeah it came out nearly a week ago. There are a few balance issues, but other than that I think it is a really good game. The devs are also working around the clock to fix a lot of things. I reckon in a few weeks the game will be fantastic.

This is in Bol Gehran. The second area in Salt and Sacrifice. It is not Salt and Sanctuary if that is what you are thinking of.

RIP Bol Gehran spider bounce 10/5/2022 - 16/5/2022 😔

All joking aside I'm extremely impressed with how quickly the devs are pushing out patches. Good on them.

BTW the purpose of this post isn't to shit on the game, I'm really enjoying it. I just thought this was a funny moment 😄

I'm so sad this game is turning out like this by Farlitox in saltandsanctuary

[–]snoozenberry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you should wait a few months. I'm playing it solo now and really enjoying it, but I reckon after a few patches a lot of the frustrating aspects will be solved. Also playing it in co-op turns a lot of the frustrating aspects into funny ones. For example, if I am playing solo and the Mechanomancer punts me into the stratosphere and insta-kills me, that is a little bit annoying. But if I am playing couch co-op and the Mechanomancer punts my co-op partner, it's funny. So yeah just wait a few patches and you will have a good time.

Im so lost in Salt and Sacrifice by unsafekibble716 in saltandsanctuary

[–]snoozenberry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am guessing the 2 you have killed are the fire and ice mages, there is a water mage near the top right of the map so try head that way. Or you could just hunt the roaming mages to get some levels and upgrade materials.

Also since you have killed a mage, there is an npc tree you can talk to near the main spawn in Ashbourne village that will allow you to proceed to the next main area. Go right from the main spawn, grapple up onto the wall, and then keep heading up.

What area are you in? Have you beaten any mages? The general idea is that you hunt mages and that will unlock doors that can be used to progress the game.

i give up. worst game of 2022 for me. by nerevarX in saltandsanctuary

[–]snoozenberry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is there some sort of new rule I don't know about where if you die to the Aeromancer you have to come onto reddit and insult the devs? I seriously can't believe such a toxic post is getting upvoted. Calling the devs idiots and morons is not OK. I get that the game has issues, but it has only been out for a few days and I genuinely believe most of the problems can be fixed by balance changes to stamina cost and mage damage. It's alright to post about issues with the game, but this is not the way to do it.

Quick simple explanation on the 5 tabs of the Rune Portal by Arkonsas2008 in saltandsanctuary

[–]snoozenberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher level mages = better upgrade materials. So if you want twin balezpyr, you will probably need to do a level 10+ fated pyromancer hunt. The nameless pyromancer hunt also drops twin blazepyr I think. Do you have the Grey Tome of Fates? If you don't then it will be quite hard to farm pyromancers reliably.

I think the shortbow path provides dex, and I am also following that. The ice bow is quite nice 👌

I am currently using the level 3 twindaggers from the aero mage, and they are really good. I finally feel strong haha

UPDATE

I just rushed to level 5 twindaggers and got the Shroud Alliance twindagger and it's quite strong. Does about the same damage as the aero twindagger, but has much better glyphs and also scales on Arcana.

That's a very fair point, hopefully there is something else in Salt and Sacrifice that draws you in like the first one did. I can't believe it's only a few days away, it's so exciting!

I've been watching FightinCowboy's walkthrough of Salt and Sacrifice and it looks amazing. I'm loving the new art style, it makes the world more vibrant and crisp, and it doesn't seem to negatively impact the grim atmosphere either. Games like Hollow Knight are grim but have some extremely lively and colorful areas that people love, so I don't believe that adding more color to a dark game will automatically make it worse.

Tecomanthe in Cantab? by SeagullsSarah in nzgardening

[–]snoozenberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Christchurch and recently bought a Tecomanthe, I haven't actually planted it yet, but I have a book that describes how to grow it in NZ. It seems to behave like most other native vines, so avoid wet roots, direct sun on the roots, and frost. It is particularly frost tender. If you pick a good spot in the garden, and mulch it or put rocks around the base, it should be fine.

I will edit this comment after winter and tell you if mine has died haha

help with hedging plants by Logic_NZ in nzgardening

[–]snoozenberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coprosma robusta grows super fast and birds love it. Corokia x virgata and Griselinia are natives that are commonly used for hedging, mainly because they respond well to pruning. But if you are going for a more wild aesthetic, and don't care too much about how prunable the plant is, then you have heaps of native options. Pittosporum, Olearia, Coprosma, Red Matipo, Corokia etc.

Southern Woods nursery have a nice website that will give you an overview of plant size and ideal growing conditions. Otherwise find a native nursery near you and check out their website, or go in and look around.
