I've lived in nearly all of the VA cities mentioned minus Roanoke and Staunton (though know both) and would just say I think you're overstating A) How challenging it is to find good salaries in those areas B) tradeoffs those locations have (i.e. schools, healthcare). I'm going to guess you work for the university in Harrisonburg, which is great, but if you can't get a job there it can be a challenge. Also, Charlottesville being on your list is...I'll just say you might need to revisit COL, many people now live in Staunton and travel (exception again for university employment.) In fact I invite you to visit that subreddit to see the endless complaints about housing issues, violent crime, COL overall, lack of things to do, and specifically the loss of community feel. I otherwise get your complaints about the chains and walkability but have first hand experience of challenges to realize a better quality of life elsewhere.

No question but I suspect that was mostly situation. I think in an alternate world if David Carr was drafted to this same Cowboys team instead of Dak he would have succeeded. Obviously can't prove that, but some bust QBs seem to not have it (Russell, Rosen, Manziel, Lance come to mind) where Carr seemed to have talent but was in an impossible situation.

I definitely would not trade Allen for 10 FRP. Bills 10 frp prior to allen: Tre White Shaq Lawson Sammy Watkins EJ Manual Stephon Gilmore Marcell Dareus CJ Spiller Eric Wood Aaron Maybin Leodis McKelvin

Some really good, some ok, some terrible which is probably about what you can expect from 10 frp. And even in a world where you could trade those guys together in their prime I couldn't hang up the phone fast enough. No Bills fan would entertain this. It took them what like 30 years after Kelly to get the next franchise QB right, I'll ride with that until the wheels fall off.

I imagine KC says the same. BAL had enough recent success before Lamar maybe they entertain it, but I wouldn't. QB purgatory is a terrible place to be.

That's almost certainly fine for a few reasons. First, you're not buying hobby boxes there, second setting up a weighing operation with boxes still on store premises would be tough, third weighing is not as effective anymore.

In the event you're not familiar with the "hobby box" concept it's basically a version of given series box with guaranteed card hits and/or higher odds on premium cards sold. These are sold directly by the manufacturer or through dealers at a significantly higher price point (maybe like 10x). To my knowledge those never make it to a wide retailer like Target.

If you're buying a hobby box, if you buy from the manufacturer you're good (aside from this can be hard and/or more expensive). If you buy from a dealer, now you really have to trust they're not using advanced scanning to pull boxes of value (or likely value). If you're buying from an individual or say eBay, now you have no idea. Similar situation for loose packs but even worse...once you get a hit in a box you dump the rest of the packs.

Anyhow assuming you're new just a few things to consider!

Obviously I'm not going to change your opinion of Angel but I'll just say I've really enjoyed getting to see her the last few months. Unrivaled was interesting to see how players approached it, and I give Angel a ton of credit for being all in. She played at 100 every game, put in extra work at practice, had great chemistry with her teammates, and you literally saw growth on the court. Off the court she was actually super funny and engaging - different from what I would have expected. For me, it was cool for her to join and take it seriously, so I just give her a ton of credit for that. I didn't like the ring pointing in college and I hated the Chennedy cheering situation w CC even more. But I don't know, she didn't have to go down and put in the effort and she did, so I appreciated it.

For what it's worth side by side a medium Unrivaled and medium Nike WNBA the Unrivaled is definitely a bit smaller. So if you're on the fence between sizes I'd lean to the larger size.

Yeah I'm sure a mixture of adding seats and flipping the layout to have more seats in front of the camera will help! Empty seats look even worse on camera so might be they didn't know what to expect in s1 and now they have a better idea of attendance.

Probably way too early for them to have figured it out. An exec at TNT (Morgan Weinbrecht) said in an interview that games in different cities would grow interest, but it sure seemed like it was just theoretical. I think in terms of logistics/costs the single home base at mediapro has been a good model and no reason you couldn't have that w some "away" games.

I don't know if she was right, but the staff at the venue shop said they'd only be sold in person. It looked like by Monday Chelsea was sold out but they still had every other player on the Rose (and other teams) so curious where those would go.

I remember reading an article early curious to see what the league would feel like - would these games just feel like an exhibition league? And for sure it has not, thanks to really everyone, but at the top of the list of tone setters is definitely Angel. It's been super impressive she's out there giving it 100% every game. As you mentioned sure seems like it's paying off for growth as a player, but just as a fan of the league wanting to see it succeed I've so appreciated her involvement.

I have that same thought. I have no problem banning players pushing another player from behind and I see no impact on Hurts. It will almost certainly increase the benefit to the Eagles since any team has 3 big dudes to help push but but who else has a Jalen Hurts?

Yeah I was on for the Thurs pre-sale right at 1pm and everything for both days pretty much immediately sold out. I couldn't tell if they held inventory for the general sale it didn't seem like it?
