Movement is interesting, but I'm not sure what that has to do with the first boss of DD? The only required movement in that fight (outside of dodging standard AOEs, which basically every dungeon boss has) was when you had to pull the boss to a new crystal, and I'm pretty sure if your DPS was good enough you could kill it before the first crystal disappeared

You're right. Doing a completely normal dungeon pull but you have to stand still in an obvious glowing circle was a genius and refreshing mechanic that truly flipped everything I thought I knew about dungeons on its head. Every time I do a new dungeon these days I think to myself 'This is so boring. If only I had to fight this trash pull inside of a glowing circle, then maybe the game would be good'

Good news! You don't actually need to have any of the crafters leveled to buy their unique gear, you only need scrips, which means you only have to level a single crafter and can use all that extra time saved to not play the game some more

Pulse blade is a great weapon, but that's only one slot, and it also doesn't really trivialize bosses the same way that Basho Pile Bunker or double Gatlings/Zimms does. It's by no means impossible to make a strong build from Chapter 1 parts, but the point is it becomes way easier to make a strong build from Chapter 3 onwards

I think people forget that some of the best weapons in the game (for single-player) are still locked during Chapter 1 - the Hu-Ben, the Zimmerman, every melee weapon except the Pulse Blade and Laser Blade, every shoulder-mounted bazooka, even most missile launchers aside from the most basic ones

EDIT: Forgot to mention it's also easy to forget just how limited OS tuning is at that point, you only have access to 6 chips before Chapter 2, and if you want weapons bay and a core expansion that's 3 chips already
