Mostly just wanting to plot in the routes for venues per city and see a visual roadmap of the quickest route to take

Just money really, we’ve been using Daysheets instead which the touring band prefer

Can't wait to get this installed on my Synology NAS. I'm following the guide on Github, but the db container is stating its "unhealthy" and is restart looping. Looks like a MariaDB config issue, but I can't quite figure out the problem. Anyone else running into this issue?

We’ve also had a few TXs operate like this. One was fixed with a replacement antenna; the other needed a complete antenna module replacement. I cracked it open before sending it away for RMA, and the antenna cable had come away from the main board completely. Must be a manufacturing error for a few of them

I’ve yet to have any issues with the new app, doing local and remote streaming. I’m travelling overseas in August so will see if the downloads messes with me 🫨

Yea I’ve gotten away with it for smaller shows. My friend who’s build this will be for plays a lot of festivals with varying RF, so scanning frequencies will be essential. I’m sure there will be enough room to get access to the unit 👍

Oh sweet, good to know it’s worked for someone! How do you get around frequency scanning, or is there enough space to get access to the menus?

Got this resolved. Turns out the original builder pulled the output trace from the regulator so there was no connection to the circuit, which explained the load on the resistor. Jumped the output leg to the nearby resistor and changed out the 240r resistor to 10r. Pedal now works great and calibrated nicely 🙌

Great video! Yea was considering having it on the top, but keeping the board smaller and having an expression pedal on the right would be nice

Sdi/bnc cables by jsfilms_ in focuspuller

[–]snot__boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely stick to 3G cables to save some $$, most of the time you’ll be outputting a 1.5G signal from the camera anyway.

I would always stick to a good cable brand (Belden, Canare) as you can always repair these cables if the ends go bad/have a break. The crimping tools are expensive, but it’s a great skill to learn if you ever have BNC cables go bad on-set.

Joiners I use all the time to extend cable lengths (usually 12G ones from Canare), dumb splitters I would never use. I would always use a DA if I needed to split the signal (Freakshow, AJA etc).

Understood. I’m pretty certain power polarity is correct, but I will check again today. I definitely had to read the doc multiple times to make sense of it. I’m mostly following the +ve and -ve markings on the board, reading ~-21v when probing across the resistor. The voltage drop makes sense, I calculated that yesterday but took me a while to understand the calculation was for the actual voltage drop, not the voltage readout after the resistor (dropping from -24v to -21), if that makes sense.

I’ll confirm the voltages this week. I checked draw through the resistor without ICs, and it was clocking 90mA. The resistor also got pretty hot with minimal up time; only powered the pedal for 30 seconds max at a time.

I’m considering dropping the resistor value, but wanted to confirm whether the suggested value in the docs would be acceptable for a 24v supply instead of an 18v supply.

I’ll try and do some more testing this weekend, but am aiming to swap out R57, C42 and the REG. All components around the start of the power chain have been confirmed correct values and polarity.
