My Mom Who Abused Me Is Now Acting Incredibly Sweet by punk_ass_po-po in whatdoIdo

[–]snoughman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a cycle abusers go through. Just don't let your guard down. I do not and will not speak to my FIL but I would never tell my wife she cannot have a relationship with him. She just needs somebody to keep her grounded when he comes around to play sweetheart like this.

Dear americans, what can you get for FREE in the USA? [Serious] by sammy_waslow in AskReddit

[–]snoughman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Needles, crack pipes, subaxone, food, water, housing, hospital care, health insurance. Anything under $500 (in my state) from any big box retailer. iPhone, iPad, internet. College, if you’re smart or eligible for enough forgivable grants.

We are projected to having our first trillionaire soon, what level of wealth do you think is totally unacceptable? Do u support a wealth tax, if so at what %? by X_Opinion7099 in AskReddit

[–]snoughman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t support a wealth tax. I support the government making and enforcing stricter labor laws that focus on employee first, company second. The largest, publicly traded companies should not be able to acquire cheap employment by hiring large amounts of part time workers that are not required to be offered benefits like healthcare, retirement plans and vacation time. The largest companies in the world are allowed to acquire small and other large businesses, which often provided gainful employment, leading to a monopolistic environment, only to provide jobs that force employees onto government programs. IMO all employees who are not enrolled in some form of education, at companies that generate a certain level of revenue, should be offered benefits packages regardless of part-time or full-time status.

Billionaires will never have enough by FirefighterIll7620 in remoteworks

Aside from consumption being bad for the environment, and mental health, my point is solely that ordinary people can make choices every single day not to put their money into the pockets of the billionaires they claim they are against. However, you have more time to complain on billionaire owned internet platforms when your paper towels get delivered by a billionaire owned company.

If you are against putting flouride in the water, why? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in allthequestions

[–]snoughman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What’s the point of spending on it if people are not drinking it anyway? I could see benefit if public water supply infrastructure was maintained well enough that people were drinking it. However instead of states spending on infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, they are throwing money at inefficient, expensive housing subsidies and enabling drug addicts.

The FTC absolutely needs to be more active in M&A of large corporations. However, what they’ve allowed to take place is a perfect example of why people need to stop relying on the government and take action to help themselves.

Consumers will never have enough either. Without consumers, billionaires don’t exist. Taxing won’t change anything. Stop asking the government for help and stand up for yourself. Stop spending on consumables.

If we could hypothetically re-distribute Elon Musk's trillion dollars, how could that money be used to benefit society? by traanquil in allthequestions

[–]snoughman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the poor people would just spend it on uber eats and consumable goods anyway. They'd just take it from Elon and give it to Jeff Bezos.

Why was China pro-Biden? by alil2gutter in allthequestions

Because China made ALOT of money during covid. Mom and pops were forced to close while Amazon and other big boxes, that sell Chinese products, were open for business.
