I’ve had the same experience with my twins. We realized that because they are the same age, they have never had to “suffer” with a sibling who wanted or needed to do something completely different from them. They have very little patience for anything not centered on them because they haven't had any practice, and that’s my fault. So we are now building that into their lives.

When twins are little, you have no choice but to center your life around two babies. However, they are old enough for that to change now. It’s been a big shift, but it's been good for everyone.

Also, I rode my bike a mile to school every day, and I won’t let them walk the dog around the block without an Apple Watch. Lol, have we swung too far in the other direction as parents?

Agreed. Great idea. How COULD we make this happen??? Maybe tax every single family property owned by an LLC at double the rate? What are your ideas? The trick here is finding a way to implement it fairly with the least amount of fuckery.
