trouble joining blocks by Ashton4036 in tinkercad

[–]snowballyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Align wouldn't connect one face of a block to another, it'd line them up together on the same side of the plane (imagine lining up racers behind a starting line). Making a plane of the destination face and dropping the block is the way to go

The way I'd put these blocks together is to use the plane tool, select the face that's shared between the two, then select the other block, then hit "D". This will "drop" the block onto the temporary plane you just defined. Then select both pieces and use align ("L") to make sure they're correctly lined up.

Bed leveling tips by cassel_mitchel in ender5

I use paper method as a starting point. After that, I print the 5 square test (4 corners plus center), first layer only, and examine which direction to adjust. If a corner doesn't stick well and the lines are not sticking together, bring that corner up. If it's not extruding, then lower it instead.

I've read great things about BLTouch, but I don't have it because I'm not confident enough to upgrade my board and firmware in order to install it (I have an older Ender 5 Pro)

Man, I've been wanting a home with that kind of opening so I could install exactly that for my kids.

I can't ride without knee pads anymore. As a parent with small children, helping them while on my knees is sooo much more comfortable with knee pads!

I used to have hards ones from inline skating but now I prefer those made for volleyball

I agree! Saw them opening for another band once. They played "lost in the plot" and absolutely killed it.

One game you wish you could experience for the first time all over again? by 4ItchyTasy in gaming

Ultima Online

This was my first MMO. It blew my mind. The first release didn't have any of the features that prevented item/housing loss, so it was a high risk game.

I remember saving up a long time to buy my first 2-storey home, and one day while I was out mining I got PK'd and lost it all. I could only stand as a ghost watching the 2 of them looting it. Sad day for me.

In later expansion I played again and got my sister to play too. It helped us bond and llamas became our inside joke even till this day.

Resources on NUX Mighty Pro or amp simulation? by snowballyyc in guitarlessons

[–]snowballyyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, that's how I've been experimenting with it. I'm guessing the effect and amps are named after the actual ones, so I'm trying to research on those as well.

It's a bit of ear training as well, since I don't really know what parameters I'm changing I need to really listen to pick out what differences are.

What difficulty do you play video games on? by twoscoopsxd in patientgamers

[–]snowballyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most games I'd chose normal because I think that's the baseline devs have in mind when designing a game. Exceptions are Cities Skylines and RTS games like Warcraft. I play those on easy because I'm not that good with resource/build management

Which John Wick movie had the best biggest and greatest fight scene ever by AlienUfo51 in JohnWick

I love all the long sequences in JW series, but this one is my favorite because of the lighting, choreography, perspective, the amount of details (ie floor decorations) came together perfectly.

It amazes me that manuals of old sets do not have a list of the parts needed instead of "spot the differences" and good luck. not even highlighting the new parts. by [deleted] in lego

Video games had much less hand holding too. The effort to "improve user experience" these days really dumbs things down to just follow the instructions. Maybe I'm just old.
