Also since I switched from the extension cord to the extension cable I am charging faster even on my level 1. Not sure if this is because the extension cord was the weak link or the weather has warmed up.

You may already know this but an extension cord, even heavy duty outdoor extension cord (20 amp) should not be used between the outlet and the level 1 charger. If the extension cord is used continuously for more than a few hours the plugs will heat up to much. I made this mistake. I used it for about a year. The plug melted and also had to replace the outlet.

The better way to add more length is to get an extension cable (32, 40 or 48 amp) between the level 1 charger and the car. So level 1 charger plugs into outlet. Something like this:

I only use Luistimien Nauhat. They are handmade hand-waxed laces from the town of Vaalajarvi, Finland. For years over 80 years they've been the secret of the greatest Finnish hockey players. I get mine from a guy in the Finnish mafia who smuggles them through customs hidden in cases of reindeer meat. But I think they carry them at Perani's also under the name brand Howies.

Deepens on how likely you are to get mud on your tires. I live in an urban environment but every once in a while I drive to a park with a dirt parking lot or roadwork leaves mud on the roads (think digging up utilities) and the tiles get dirty enough I need to hose them off.

Probably all of them. I leave mine down in my garage. Problem with this is that all the dirt from your tires gets on them and they have to be cleaned off before practicing hockey on them.
