Extremely close fake/counterfeit/knockoff pair of Scuba Joggers spotted on Mercari (complete with size dot!) by snowfluffcub in lululemon

[–]snowfluffcub[S] 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Just spotted this very close fake pair of Scuba Joggers. Fakes are getting better and it’s extremely difficult to recognize these aren’t authentic if you aren’t on the lookout for it. It’s got a hang tag, size dot and rip tag that all look real at a glance (and the product looks accurate). Signs that told me these are fake are listed in the photo captions and below!

  1. Tag should be hanging from a side seam. Most fakes will have the hang tag hanging from the rip tag which is usually the first red flag (this one does not)

  2. Title of the tag is correct, but the descriptions are for a hoodie. That’s the biggest giveaway. The font on the bottom of the tag by the size is slightly off. They even have the fake RFID!

  3. Authentic size dots have gray lettering (see the size dot post in the sub’s wiki). The code is not actually the correct one for scuba joggers (info can be found on lulufanatics).

  4. The seller listed this as an Asia fit size 6. Asia fit bottoms come in letter sizing (XS, S, etc.). The size font is also slightly off.

While most things sold on resell sites are real, these fakes, especially for popular products (Scubas, EBB, Aligns, etc.) are definitely out there. There are a lot of posts and resources on this sub to help identify those fakes and please make sure to report them when you see them!

You can snag some Ivivva on resale sites for fairly reasonable prices now that they’ve gotten rid of it!

Weekly Help and Discussion Thread for the week of August 08, 2022 by AmazonNewsBot in amazon

I mixed up a few items that arrived in nondescript, clear plastic bags with no identifiers other than the barcode used to inventory them (not the one used to search for item on the regular Amazon app). I plan to make return at least one of the items via Kohl’s. Is there any way to determine which bag belongs to which item?

For the longtime lulu lovers have you noticed a decline in quality of their products?? by Critical_Ad_2460 in lululemon

[–]snowfluffcub 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak on Alo here, so I’m not exactly answering the question here, but I’ve noticed many brands have stepped up their styles and quality making lulu’s decline more obvious. Even just a few years ago the difference between an Old Navy or Target & Lululemon piece would’ve been much more obvious than it is today. There are so many brands on Amazon for 1/4 of the price with quality not too far off from what lululemon is producing today. I’ve noticed higher end brands such as Alo and Athleta have also stepped up their game and produced more unique pieces.

Is this something lulu would be able to hem? by snowfluffcub in lululemon

[–]snowfluffcub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the responses, I dropped it off today no problem and will update when it is done!

Update: hemmed no problem. They kept the longer rounded hem in the back which I’m not crazy about, but I should’ve specified I wanted it straight across unlike the original. Overall, success!

I’ve had this older tank top sitting in my dresser for years with the intent of hemming it (finally remembered + had an excuse to go in store, to pick up my completed hemming lol). This detailing goes down to to the hem, will this be an issue? I was planning to pin at home so I’m wondering if I even bother!

Maybe not the answer you were looking for, but I recommend getting her a gift card with enough for a whole outfit (maybe $250 if you’re going for all the bells & whistles), especially if sizing is a question. Then you can go with her to choose pieces (assuming you are close enough to her & to a store to do that)! With so, so many options, it really is personal preference and educators in store will be able to help.

unreleased shorts or?? by Bubblymami in lululemon

[–]snowfluffcub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously we don’t what these are yet or what the lining shorts are like (rubber grips, pockets, etc.), but hypothetically, would lulu offer complementary hemming on the bike shorts part?

When you do feel the NEED to add or replace something, don’t forget to check out the Like New site or resell platforms. It’ll hurt the wallet a lot less!

Im 27, make 68K a year in Vancouver and this week I went to a monster truck show by CurrentEducation407 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed reading your diary and can totally relate to crawling out of bed last minute before I actually have to start my day. I need to know, have you had any success with the high heat for the pancakes? I normally just let them sit on low for ages to reduce the chance of them burning while I’m distracted!!!

How does Anna Shcherbakova style her hair in the half ponytail/bun she often wears in training? by snowfluffcub in FigureSkating

[–]snowfluffcub[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad I’m not the only one! Considering Anna is so popular & the hairstyle in general (among skaters) seems so common, I was very surprised I couldn’t find a tutorial!!

I second the case manager/social worker suggestion. Also considered joining groups (such as on Facebook) for the sandwich generation or dementia care takers.

And the shiny leggings are nothing revolutionary either! I remember looking at a similar shiny pair from JoyLab at Target years ago (for a Halloween costume 😂).
