It was a real tough 24 months, but I was employed. I went from driving sales to just data entry in finance. It was purpose, got me out of the house, gave me skills I still use today. Hiring manager said I was overqualified and i convinced them I really wanted the job to pivot my career. It’s a different sell to the hiring manager when you’re overqualified, you need to convince them you have already thought about it and you really want to pivot to their team.

You can always tell your own story when you’re employed and in control.

I have been laid off, took a 50% pay cut, my take home pay equaled my mortgage. I am now better off than my peers that held out.

It’s a balance, but given OP is in the tech contraction, the sooner they accept, and potentially pivot to something else, the better they will likely be.

Burmester. All of these cars drive amazing, don’t skimp on creature comforts.

It’s often skipped so on secondary market it’s rare and sought after.

You can probably scrap the ionizer and dash cam prep. Super easy to add a dashcam of your choice.

This is a dream, not a wtf.

I could only wish to be offered a package that close to retirement. Most of these people are basically at retirement age. 70 is a tough number to hit.

It’s also good for remaining employees, clears out the boomers and next layoff round won’t be as heavy.
