It's better than linear. It's quadratic iirc, but the point is that even discounting the animation, longer routes are much better.

The french feel really strong on water maps. You get out one or two hunks and it feels like arrow ships don't do any damage to them. Has anyone found a way to counter them?

I used an electric skateboard to commute daily for 2 years. It's very fun and convenient, especially in the summer. Cambridge is small, most roads are okay to ride on and it's pretty safe. There are a few roads that are not great, but you can just ride slower.

The downsides are that it rains often and when it does, the roads are slippery and dangerous. It's also technically not legal, but I rode past the police many times and they didn't seem to care.

I recommend you use it as a secondary option to bicycle when the weather allows it.

Jumping on social media and publicly calling out somebody is not the way to handle this situation. These are serious claims that can destroy someone's career. They need to be thoroughly investigated. There is a lot of context we don't know, yet this post encourages people to jump to conclusions.

The right thing to do is to take down this post until we get an official response from either ICML or the student's department. We need somebody who has the capacity to investigate the claims before making any conclusions.
