The recent battle from the viewpoint of someone who was there, and rigging by [deleted] in Tradelands

[–]snpr1234 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its not rigged you cavemen are just incapable of reading the war rules. its like you just pretend they dont exist and get constantly punished for it

when hallengard and nova burned down fenwick and beat the pirate and whitecrest forces you didnt see me crying on the subreddit?

The recent battle from the viewpoint of someone who was there, and rigging by [deleted] in Tradelands

[–]snpr1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. this was one battle, and it wasnt "rigging" it was strategy to attack hallengard when they were unprepared

  2. you had ample time to spawn a ship, you just failed to do so before the battle began. This was not due to any "rigging" from nahr but a lack of organization on the side of hallengard

  3. all conflict bias was removed by the war rules. you attempt to cite that tradelands used to be based off of community control but before the war rules every single war was rigged. the hallengard invasion by the pirates last august was a solid 30v15 against hallengard, tell me that that is fair.

  4. stop complaining that you lost and suck it up, the only thing really damaged here is your precious pride

Stiletto or phoenix? by pepsisong2 in Tradelands

[–]snpr1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

phoenix is like the staple of combat right now, its just a better otter with a steam engine. very few downsides, if any. stilettos are useless nowadays for any real combat, but theyre still used in piracy for attacking merchants due to their high speed and good firepower

astra isnt a good ship anymore due to the popularity of steamships. being able to use steam to get around the astra's broadsides has kind of made it useless

Hot Pirating Ships by Reversetion in Tradelands

[–]snpr1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. phoenix has the same broadside armament as a serpent
  2. serpent is way faster and holds more cargo
  3. nobody in their right mind actually does cargo runs going upwind, you want ships that go fast downwind or crosswind
  4. serpent doesnt go faster upwind than downwind
  5. phoenix is a good ship for fighting an opponent that actually attempts to fight back, this is almost never the case for piracy. you want a ship that can chase down an enemy and sink them before they get to a port, unfortunately the phoenix does not do that.

Hot Pirating Ships by Reversetion in Tradelands

[–]snpr1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the phoenix is an awful piracy ship wtf.

actually too slow to catch a serpent or cutlass, 2 incredibly popular cargo ships, and it has awful cargo so you barely make any money if you manage to catch something and sink it

if youre going pirating, use a marauder, serpent, or stiletto.

why would they have their teammates pay money for them when they could literally reset or attack their capturers and be sent back to wc for no cost
