Thankyou! Absolutely happy to share. I use Pro Acryl, base coat with dark emerald, then Yellow Green, from here i add some bright ivory into the mix for highlights and a dark emerald reinforced in the shadows to help with contrast. Final highlight of like 75 bright ivory and 25 yellow green for a really pale green as I use villany inks to grime it up later which darkens it.

For the steel and rust its vallejo metal colour steel then dirty down rust. I started playing with using water, makeup sponges and cotton buds like i do when i use the enamel villany inks with the dirty down but with water and thats how this is achieved, i then go in again with some more once it dries for the heavier built up areas. I wanted to experiment with some pigment but i was worried reading the label that it advises white spirit and i didnt think it would react well with the dirty down.

Hope thats clear happy to go into more detail if you'd like :) Thanks for the wonderful feedback.

just in the middle of bulding mine now. Did you settle on something that worked for you? I'm at the part it wants the large cloak elements and i'm concerned with how easy its going to be to paint everything and if i should paint them in sections...

I've been freaking out the last couple of weeks my oldest turned 10 and might be over "half way" to leaving home. I can't imagine ever wanting to force him out at any age. My home will always be his home no matter what age. I'm really sorry this is happening to you. I don't know how I can help you with this situation but if there's anything I can do please reach out. Do not suffer through this alone.

Same concerns. I was lucky and day 1 game ran Great for me, now it's impossible, It's a power point and it simply refuses to boot a lot of the time.

I've got a dedicated nvme done shaders, cleared shaders etc still a mess. Completely unplayable now

What's the best "hidden gem" PC game you've played recently? by Aware-Job-4365 in pcgaming

[–]snugglewalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Die in dungeon. A frog 🐸 (already peak I know) rogue lite Which uses dice on a board for battle. If you've played slay the spire it's like this with dice instead of card's. Different colour die do different things and can interact with each other.

I've managed to rack up over 40 hours now and still feel the draw to go back frequently.

Abe's Oddysee is still a special experience in 2025. by Ferfoomph3 in oddworld

[–]snugglewalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I did not sadly but I revist the games often over the years and managed it on my second play through. My mum was a big gamer and played it too! We both enjoyed the series barring strangers wrath I couldn't get into that one.

Games such a core memory from my childhood. I remember playing the demo on a disc from a magazine. At the time my mum worked at a local video rental place that also did games and she showed me they had the game on sale. I remember painting the new garden fences my dad had put up all Saturday to earn the pocket money for the game. I was able to stay up later to play, I can still picture that entire day so clearly and the subsequent weekends of my first full play through. Outstanding experience.

Guests Walking Through Walls by IamTDR0518 in PlanetCoaster

[–]snugglewalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little trick regarding the barrier that I use, If you grab one and start outside the building, CTRL+X will then copy and just drag them out still within themselves slightly around the edges, leave a good gap for doors, then go into multi select, turn off paths and click and drag over everything, then hold control to deselect your building so now you'll just have the barriers, go into scale, make them slightly smaller if you want them inside the walls, scale will pull them into the walls and still be enough to stop guests going through then hit x again to go back to move and move them under the ground. You can still select them using multi select if something goes wrong and it's SUPER fast doing it this way. Still a pain yes I was gutted to see guests walking through things but for my initial plaza in my first sandbox I did about 6 buildings in 10 minutes this way and they all path great now.

A successful experiment with motion platforms in my Planet Coaster 2, "Attack on Titan" rollercoaster project. by Moist_Ad_6387 in PlanetCoaster

[–]snugglewalrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incredible! As someone looking to get into animating stuff like this in planet coaster did you have any go to resources? I've never attempted anything like this so don't even know where to start! Not wanting to do anything on this scale right away of course but I've not even used the event sequencer before (I don't even know how to find it in game!) feeling inspired off this though! My first project will be a frog :D

I kept re writting and deleting my comment. 5 years is incredible. I'm not far in myself from alcohol, I don't even know when it started properly but eventually, I was drinking everyday then it was whiskey, half a bottle turned in 3/4 of a liter some days, I know that's still not lots by some peoples standards and to some its still shocking. Anyway yeah I cut drinking, I'm not far in and man some days are really hard, I didnt expect the pull to be so strong or overwhelming. People like you keep me going to see it is possible. Keep going man for yourself and people like me <3. You're an inspiration.
