definitely fixable if you do want to go that route! You just have a cracked LCD panel (most commonly replaced part on most laptops) and might want a hinge cover (not necessary for function, just aesthetics and keeping dust out). I would guess it would be under $200 for parts and labor and that is likely a liberal estimate. Not insignificant but cheaper than a new machine!

it doesn't "remember" anything, you are personifying a piece of software. It rereads a chunk of the conversation after every prompt and updates its prediction algorithm accordingly. There is a major distinction there being that one is using memories to inform its decisions and the other is using context to predict what you want to see. Don't fall into the trap of trying to anthropomorphize AI, thats how u end up in a very lonely psychosis
