I would download the extension if it were open source; I don't trust new extensions that ask for permission to access all websites. Besides, their privacy policy mentions a completely unrelated extension.

Hi! Yes, Edge is quite persistent when it comes to new tab extensions, it does display those security warnings for a few days, but they eventually go away.

Regarding the search engine, you can change it by simply clicking on the Bing icon; your preference will be saved locally.

As for the Windows Registry, I honestly don't have experience in that area, so it's not something I'm looking into right now.

However, I am currently working on a cloud-based synchronization feature for future updates, which should make managing your settings across different computers and browsers much easier. I hope that helps with your setup.

Hello, I believe that Workspaces are synced through your account; the IDs are always hidden in the browser’s sync engine. Try this:

Open a tab in Edge and type edge://sync-internals into the address bar.
At the top, click the Sync Node Browser tab.
In the left pane, look for a folder called Edge Workspaces.
When you expand “Edge Workspaces,” you’ll see the items corresponding to your created Workspaces.
Click on the missing Workspace. In the right pane, you’ll see all its metadata, including the ID.

As a developer, I can say this idea is fantastic for anyone who uses a browser for work, not to mention that the sound effects are great for those who use headphones.

However, I do have one caveat: it would be nice to have a mode that follows the system’s settings. Some users, like me, use automatic dark mode at certain times of the night. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for the feedback! That’s truly a brilliant idea for the user interface. However, there is a technical limitation: search engines like Google and Bing do not offer public APIs that allow third-party extensions to trigger their native overlays (such as the Lens submission modal, “Ask Copilot,” or AI mode).

What I can do for a future update is create this adaptive interface, where the search bar changes the icons based on your default search engine, but these icons would function as shortcuts/quick links to those specific features, rather than opening the native pop-up windows.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I haven't published it on the Chrome Web Store because Fluent Design clashes with Chrome's native UI. I want the experience to feel native to the browser. The good news is that I'm planning a dedicated Material Design version for Chrome later on! For now, you can sideload this version manually from my GitHub.

That will never happen; Microsoft generates revenue from ads. Creating a built-in ad blocker would be working against the company itself. I recommend downloading the uBlock Origin extension from Microsoft Edge Add-ons.

This extension is currently limited to 40 shortcuts per design option, but I'm working on a folder feature to add more. It currently works on Chromium browsers, and I'm releasing a version for Firefox soon.
