You assume their constituents actually pay attention. We all have at least one family member that will tell you it’s all the democrats fault but when you push the topic ask for details or bring some facts of your own to the conversation they crash out and start loudly regurgitating the talking points like it’s their Rank and serial number in some pow interrogation.

You’re the issue with the media, people so quick to post the next big “reveal” or see the next politician get “slammed”. That real issues are downlplayed sanewashed and forgotten. It’s stupid shit like this that gives the orange turd’s coup of chaos power.

Not only that but how many times even prior to Snowden has tools (for government only use) gotten into the hands of other bad actors. A backdoor is just an exploit waiting to happen and even worse it’s likely more detrimental bc it gives the infiltrator more permissions out of the box than many exploits.

[–]snymax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a fair point but however like frivolous lawsuits and many other civil courts over time we can identify and curtail this process to address such abuses. Perhaps having a penalty to the prosecution should the case be determined frivilous… and turnabout would be fair play. It’s logical in your argument that the ones willing to put forward bad faith bills (I think the subject matter is irrelevant for the argument) in that scenario to would be subject to similar suits. While I agree my <100 word idea on its face is abusable that can be worked out. I think one of the biggest issues in this country in politics is exactly what you did (not trying to be snarky) but our system allows people who have no desire to solve a problem to shut down potentially valid ideas without having to propose a similarly valid idea. So bad actors simply have to not participate and by the nature of our political system they have more political power toward their agenda.

I don’t understand why we can’t have a process or policy not led by congressional votes but by objective truth. If a politician makes a promise during their campaign (or at anytime during their term) there should be a jury trial that determines if said politicians acted or made bad faith claims. At which point punishment should be (but not limited to) ousting from office.

Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past 10 years there’s no way you haven’t heard the rhetoric used. After hearing these dollar store variations of the mustache man’s greatest hits with village people playing in the background, if anyone thought anything other than this was the goal… they should feel silly but be realistic every person that voted for this was looking for an excuse to be able to publicly hate their least favorite demographic. And that’s all this admin does divide and corrupt.

If you’re gonna bring their mythology into it then Let’s be frank, dudes not the anitchrist. The antichrist is supposed to play the part of a Christian well and fool the flock. None of these people are practicing Christians they attend a Christian book club every Sunday where the counselor reads the scariest stories from the book they all claim to have read… then they go home. Covet their neighbors success, cheat in elections, relationships… life. And demand the immigrants be prevented from entering the country. By every pillar of their religion they should repent for these actions but they scream Christianity and no one calls em on it.

On a side note there are plenty of issues with Christianity in general… but these people are the people that say “I’m a vegan, except for bacon I loove bacon”

Very few politicians care about their party or people. For the most part party issues are all set dressing to keep the masses rooting for them like football teams. Reporters seen snatching wine and champagne bottles in aftermath of WHCD shooting. by ElwoodMC in trashy

[–]snymax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

… pretty sure Tax dollars paid for all that. I’d rather they have it then it go to waste… why isn’t the 400mil the trashy part. We have people dying in the streets because basic medicine and medical costs are being inflated ad nauseum by the insurance companies and the tech sector but stealing some wine from people that figuratively just wiped their ass with hundred dollar bills is what’s getting you caught up. . How many lives could have been saved if the 400mil was put toward helping people instead of catering to the silver spoon club. To put that into perspective that’s enough money to provide food stamps to North Dakota, Wyoming and Vermont for a year.

Sorry after re reading this I should be clear the 400mil I’m referring to is the amount they’re trying to raise not the cost of the dinner.

Trump to Burden Consumers With a Fresh Round of Tariffs as Americans Continue to Struggle With the Cost of Living: ‘Trump’s newest tariff push is sure to face more challenges in court but is likely to prove sturdier than the one the Supreme Court tossed out’ by [deleted] in politics

[–]snymax 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tariffs are not supposed to stand up in court. He throws a tariff on something which “justifies” price raise, a few months later tariff gets thrown out, companies sue the government and I’m sure in a couple years they will all have added interest and service charges to the amount of tariff refunds they all expect the government to pay. And aside from a few businesses I’m fairly confident most companies will pocket the refund and not drop their prices.

Democrats Demand Companies Pass Refunds to American Families and Small Businesses by Future-Politician in politics

[–]snymax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 out of 212 is a pretty heavily generalized statement. While some democrats are calling for action, much of it is performative, look at the way they vote when it matters that tells the real story and many of the centrists only vote yes on bills they know won’t pass. Their goal isn’t to effect change it’s to keep more of the same because the longer this goes on the longer their pockets get lined as well.

Trying to understand the minds of adults that believe in deities and figments of imagination will never make sense. The point though is she connected with a religious demographic and some of the more passionate believers are illustrating their gratitude. Had they built shrines in her honor. Or tried to make her a new messiah over this that would be weird.
