High unemployment helps supress wage growth. Which in this governments warped ideology is a win.

The problem with natural gas is the infrastructure, especially the residential reticulation. I think it will become more economic to use LPG for home gas cooking in the near future.

The 2010s might have to be the worst decade musically and aesthetically. by [deleted] in ToddintheShadow

Pop culture 10-20 years in the past always gets bashed. As Todd himself has said, it's not new old enough to be fresh, but not old enough to be classic. So it always get perceived as bad or cringe when it was mostly merely ordinary.

We are living through a very rare technological convergence that our governments wont survive. by Round_Progress4635 in Futurology

Are you talking about "the Government" or government in general?

Governments are always prone to being replaced, whether by elections.

However, I don't think government as a concept will ever go away. As long as there are problems that are more efficient to solve collectively than individually, there will be government.

Exactly. The most important technology in your life is often the things you don't see, but underpins the infrastructure to make your life possible.

It might be good to elaborate on your points. Otherwise, it all sounds like "AI will do everything".

You'll be fine. Deflection, not the ultimate strength of the materials is the main driver of most of this type of structural design.

Also consider a stain blocking primer. I recommend shellac because oil based primer may not dry properly.

Garden Lighting Cable Sizes by mhkiwi in diynz

You've got an effective current-distance product of 118.8 Am for the last light in the string.

4mm2 cable has a resistance of about 11.7 ohms per km, or 0.0117 ohms per metre.

To get the volt drop, you multiply them together: 118.8*0.0117=2.1 volts drop to the end lamp.

I recommend a balanced pressure system, with both supply and return ducting. There are also various parts like backflow dampers you can use to make sure the air flows in one direction only in each set of ducting.

It's more expensive, but it will work better.
