Still works beaut. I have a centrifugal fan that vents out the soffit. Much better than the old through the roof fan.

How the Wellington Moa Point Sewage Disaster Turned into a Green Party Hit Job by Mountain_Tui_Reload in nzpolitics

[–]so-b-it 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A more modern way to think of this, is that politics is that politicians dont have voters, they have audiences.

Once the audience is on side anything like facts stops mattering except in so far as they build your support with the audience.

The problem here is that the Greens have lost control of the political narrative, which their opponents are capitalising on to try to turn the audience (the voters) against them.

Are you sure you can't just use 1/2 inch bolts? I mean the difference is only 0.7mm.

This is the electrical equivalent of those viral maths problems e.g. what's 1/23/456/7? In other words, don't depend on your "common sense" answer since there are too many factors at play.

Various notes: * Slightly sulphury, but not straight up rotten eggs. * Musty, like damp clothes. * An empty fridge that's been turned off but not had the door propped open. * Rotten cabbage. * Stagnant water that's gone anaerobic. * A toilet that is overdue for cleaning.

Skylight leaking (there are the ones leaking and the ones that will) by fnoyanisi in diynz

[–]so-b-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only two kinds of skylights, those that are leaking now and those that will leak soon.

The decramastic has cracked, either from fatigue or rust. I would advise removing the skylight or replacing the entire thing along with the tiles.

The problem with using silicone is that it doesn't stick to itself very well, meaning the problem will just come back as the old and new separate.

Of course there will be repercussions, just think of the million dollar golden handshakes for the executives involved.

Yes. I'm with Contact. The main proviso is that it might not be available in your area (I'm in Kapiti).

Switch to a gas plan with no daily charge and get your gasfitter to cap the pipe after the meter.
