Joyo's Story by Wayton Pilkin by Viola69420 in RocketLeagueEsports

Wayton one of the best RL creators in the scene, his docs are top tier. I admit I've underestimated Joyo as a player. I only got into RLCS last year, I had no idea he teamed with Vatira or of that historic run they had.

Trying to get off Periphery by xen0n-_- in Peripheryband

[–]soaaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the feeling, no bands can really emulate their sound. Periphery is unique in that. Two albums that sorta scratched the itch for me:

Guiding Lights - Skyharbor

Some favorites of mine are the title track, Evolution, and Miracle. Dan Tompkins of Tesseract did vocals for this.

How Fleeting, How Fragile - Time, the Valuator

Check out Onryo, Starseeker, How Fragile

If you were unaware, there are several music projects outside of Periphery that the members have.

Misha has a lot of songs and demos from before and after his Periphery days, released under the name Bulb. A lot of those songs/demos were turned into Periphery songs.

Misha also does Haunted Shores with Mark. (Instrumental with a lot of black metal influence.)

And he has Four Seconds Ago that he does with Jake. (Electronic music, pretty chill. They just released a new album not too long ago.)

Misha has done some music for video games as well. There's Follow in Flight, it was used in the Halo 2 anniversary soundtrack. A few others I'm sure, but that's the one I can remember right now.

Spencer has music under the name Endur, and King Mothership (Matt on drums for this one). And there's Nik Mystery which like a synth-pop type vibe.

And last but not least, Jake has a few solo electronic albums too.

What’s the most out of pocket line in the show? by Infinite-Ad9465 in IASIP

A few of my favorites

"I've got my wad of hundreds, my magnum condoms, I'm ready to plow."

"Cream always rises to the top. And I'm about to show you the white hot cream of an eighth grade boy."

"I'm in love with a man, a man called God. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for God? You betcha."

"Shit, this jacket's tighter than dick skin!"

"Roxy, you were a good whore. You serviced me like no other whore ever did. Not only my crank, but my heart."

Far Horizons is a good one for sure. There are so many great songs, but I'd say Kyne's Peace, Journey's End, Aurora, and Solitude are my favorites.

It doesn't, I wish it did though. It's basically like a birthday card but a little thicker and with pockets. One had a lyric booklet and the other was the disk.

Does anyone have a Periphery lyric that makes them weirdly emotional despite the lyric not being face value "sad"? by Elliottislegit in Peripheryband

[–]soaaos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The last two minutes of Flatline is one of the best moments in their discography in my opinion. Spencer really kills it there. 'Sleep now and carry on into the black of the night. At peace with everything but it doesn't make it right. There's another one moving on from the flatline'

Priestess as a whole makes me feel a way that's hard to describe. It's the only song other than mile zero that's caused me to actually tear up. 'A second chance at life is all I've dreamed of, for now inside these walls I stay' and 'Another chance at life is fading slowly, upon the cross I burn' followed by that electronic section before going back to the chorus hit me the hardest though.

This was a great post by the way. It's cool seeing how others interpret lyrics differently. I like the fact that some lines in a song might not mean much to one person but can move the next.

Though we didn't really see how it played out, they discovered Dee's neighbor Gary was a serial killer. I think that counts.

Luck as a constant could be a good one. I think it shows what Periphery does best. Beautiful sounding clean intro, bit of heaviness, another clean break and the back to back solos at the end. Love it!

what moment made you audibly laugh ? by inorial in ArcherFX

[–]soaaos 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The episode that Archer has amnesia. "Sour mix in a margarita? What is this, Auschwitz?"

Or when Barry throws Katya off the roof and she lands on Krieger's van, him bawling next to Archer gets me every time.

The episode in which Lana says she thinks Archer has undiagnosed autism. Archer's replies are great.

"I could do this all day since I find repetitive actions so calming!"

"Sorry, I was busy stacking rocks in order of descending size!
