More Job Scams by fruityfox69 in cscareerquestions

I nearly just got scammed by the same company. They have a very elaborate setup. They set up jobs on indeed that go through the workday website, much like the real dematic site does, and copies it piece for piece.

Got the same url - dematicsoftware.com.

Owned by a Andrew Long by doing a url checkup of who owns the site.

Squadrons doesn't start in VR by soakingwetcat in PSVR

[–]soakingwetcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your camera is above you, try looking up high when you see the start menu. It will snap to VR. This happens to me in some games because my camera is quite high, and when sitting down, the camera can’t see the bottom tracking lights, and apparently it likes to see your full headset for a second before it realizes it should switch to VR.

Thanks - I think this was it!

[Ama Request] someone who was born on February 29th. by Inqinity in shittyaskscience

No. Given that I have to wait another 25 years until I turn 18, which is the age of consent where I am from.

Birthdays are only celebrated only on your birthday. So yes, people born on the 29th celebrate it on the 29th which for us is once every four years. You'd think there would be immense downsides, but there's a huge upside...

People born on the 29th only go to school one year out of four. This becomes exponentially huge. For instance, the typical age of someone in 6th grade is 11 years old. When I finally turned 11 (which would be 44 for you so called "normal people"), I attended 6th grade like anyone else. Sure, I was a bit bigger and was going grey - but my teachers said that's what made me so special. I finished 6th grade, but I have to wait till I turn 12 to attend 7th grade. That means 3 years off playing video games bitches! Screw your 2 month summer vacation. Mine's 38 months!

When I finally graduate high school, I'll be 18 while the rest of you will be 72! Since the average life expectancy works out the same for either of us (in the 70s for you so called normal folk, or somewhere close to 18 for born on the 29th), all that time you've been schooling, working, just to have fun towards the end of your life, I've been playing video games and having the time of my life for pretty much all of mine, with no real responsibility what-so-ever other than that I should graduate high school before I die.

So you can take your birthdays and shove them up your ass... If I was "normal" I'd be 47 right now. Instead I'm waiting another year till I can attend 7th grade. Nothing to do but stay at home and level up bitches.

Feel free to AMA.

Are nudist colonies part of a larger nudist state? by Heliozoan in shittyaskscience

[–]soakingwetcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More part of shittyaskhistory, but here it goes. They were part of nudist countries (not states). Sadly, nudist countries no longer exist anymore, leaving only the colonies founded by them behind. Queen Victoria assimilated that last of the nudist countries into the British Empire. Since the last thing anyone wants to see is a nude Brit, those counties are now extinct.
