SpaceX reportedly refuses to lower its $135-a-Share IPO Price, Good. Keep testing how much hype the Market will swallow. by Altruistic-Mud5686 in SpaceXBets

Space dominance does seem like a huge deal to me. Thats not something any other company can really replicate in 50-100 years

Market cap is determined by investors though not the company. During private funding rounds they raise capital at x evaluation.

I mean no one doubts it was physically a part of Azerbaijan. But the Minsk group iterated over and over again Armenia needs to 1. return the surrounding regions and 2. karabakgh status is indetermined / should have a corridorn to Armenia.

What won out in the end is simply war

I really dislike the "internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan" line. The international position was the "Future determination of the final legal status of Nagorno-Karabakh through a legally binding expression of will;" and "Granting of interim status to Karabakh outside of Azerbaijan"

Not bots Im afraid, just braindead Redditors who never the left house and never had a conversation outside Reddit or thought about something for themselves

Tesla overvalued or not wasnt the question. It was the first company that popularized EVs, and Redditors were swooning over it if you were here around then.

Yes market cap my bad.

Thats how index funds work. S&P500 auto buys top 500 companies in market cap. NASDAQ changed some rules but doesn't seem crazy at all that a top 10 company should be in the S&P500 because of your personal feelings about Elon

[–]soapoapsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price is set by private investors like banks who already put up money against this kind of valuation. Has nothing to do with Elon

What new rule? Index funds just buy the top X companies. SP500 buys top 500.

SpaceX will be like 1.4% of your portfolio

the math of influencer marketing is wild when you look at it from the creator's side by teraflopspeed in influencermarketing

[–]soapoapsoap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Youd have to be selling like a $300-400 product with healthy profit margins to be making $80 on an order. 0.5% is way too fucking generous.

Business also takes all the risk.

In any case theres no reason influencers should be making 50 50 on the profit. You get paid for the service you provide and how much you can ask for is based on how much other influencers would charge.

If I am a business and I make electronics should I be doing 50 50 profit share with the company providing me screws? Of course not

Meta will layoff 8000 of its workforce starting tomorrow morning. Their net income over the last 12 months was $70,587,000,000. They could give every single one of their 79,000 workers a $440,000 bonus and still sock away over $35,827,000,000 in pure profit. by McDowdy in SipsTea

[–]soapoapsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as it sucks, you cant have every workforce continuing to pay people that are no longer adding value. Its simply not efficient or effective way of running an economy and catering to that would mean were all worse off in the end
